Image: Niklas Moisander: Marked his Ajax debut with a goal in the 5-0 win over NAC Breda

Reigning champions Ajax powered to the summit of the Eredivisie with a 5-0 win over NAC Breda.

Easy win for Ajax as Den Haag also pick up three points

Reigning champions Ajax powered to the summit of the Eredivisie with a 5-0 win over NAC Breda. Debutant Niklas Moisander was among the scorers for the Amsterdammers, who move ahead of surprise package RKC Waalwijk on goal difference at the top of the pile. Siem De Jong opened the scoring for Ajax in the second minute before Moisander, who signed from AZ Alkmaar earlier this week, marked his first appearance with the second on 11 minutes. Tobias Sana made it 3-0 four minutes before the interval, while goals from Thulani Serero (49) and De Jong (90) added gloss to the scoreline in the second period. Defeat for NAC leaves them second bottom of the table and still searching for their first victory three matches into the season. ADO Den Haag, another side unaccustomed to the higher echelons of the Eredivisie, are up to fourth place after preserving their unbeaten start to the season with a 4-2 win at VVV-Venlo. The home side took the lead through Marcel Seip in the 10th minute, but ADO - who drew their opening two matches - responded with goals from Mike van Duinen (33), Tjaronn Chery (48) and Jens Toornstra (51). Ismo Vorstermans pulled one back for VVV with 10 minutes remaining to set up a tense finish, but Chery's second of the match five minutes later calmed any jitters in the visitors' ranks. FC Utrecht were held to a 1-1 draw at home to promoted PEC Zwolle. Utrecht went ahead on the stroke of half-time through Edouard Duplan but Zwolle ensured a share of the spoils when Darryl Lachman found the target in the 83rd minute.
