Paris Saint Germain have completed the signing of goalkeeper Mickael Landreau.
Paris Saint Germain have completed the signing of French goalkeeper Mickael Landreau on a four-year deal.
Landreau moves to the Parc des Princes from Nantes on a free transfer after being unable to agree to new terms at his former club.
PSG have been keen to capture Landreau for a number of months and have been in contact with the 27-year-old since January.
The newly-signed goalkeeper is expected to become the Parisians' first-choice between the posts next season ahead of Jerome Alonzo and Lionel Letizi.
Landreau has been selected in French national team coach Raymond Domenech's World Cup squad, but is not expected to see any action, with Fabien Barthez and Gregory Coupet ahead of him in the pecking order.
Barthez has been handed the number one shirt by Domenech, much to the disappointment of Coupet, who was expecting to be first choice in Germany.
"It is not hell, but it is a big deception," Coupet told Canal+.
"I am waiting for the reason for that decision, but as yet, I haven't asked why.
"I can be perplexed, can't I?
"I will have to keep my head up, be ready psychologically in order to help the team during the World Cup."
