Summer of investment leaves striker feeling optimistic

QPR striker Djibril Cisse is predicting a bright future for QPR after another busy summer in the transfer market. Hoops owner Tony Fernandes has invested heavily in the playing staff since his takeover of the club last summer, bringing in the likes of Cisse, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Bobby Zamora to help the club stay in the top flight. The recruitment has continued in the close-season, with Andy Johnson, Ryan Nelsen, Samba Diakite, Robert Green and Fabio Da Silva all signing on at Loftus Road ahead of the 2012/13 campaign. There has also been significant investment and improvement at the club's training ground at Harlington. Former Liverpool striker Cisse, who moved from Lazio in January, believes everything is set for an exciting future for QPR. "I really look forward to some new signings, the training ground looks really, really different and better, so everything is good for a good season," Cisse told Sky Sports.

Potential

"There is a lot of potential, Tony [Fernandes] is someone who is a winner, he likes to win and he wants QPR to do well this season. "He is doing everything he can to bring in some players and to build a really good team. "I'm really happy to be here, to be a part of it and to be able to help QPR to grow. "I'm really proud of that."
