Frenchman's stock set to rise

Bolton manager Owen Coyle expects David Ngog's value to soar after the striker signed from Liverpool on transfer deadline day. Coyle believes the £4million deal for the Frenchman could prove an astute piece of business for the club and is confident that the 22-year-old will realise his potential in a Bolton shirt. Ngog was joined at the Reebok with the loan signings of Chelsea midfielder Gael Kakuta and Manchester City defender Dedryck Boyata, 20, who both signed just before the transfer window shut. With the trio's signing indicating an emphasis on youth, the Trotters manager is excited about the impact they can have on the field.

Impact

Coyle told the Liverpool Echo: "Any signing you make is a gamble, whether they be 18 or 34 because they come into a new club and have to get used to that environment. "But I've always felt that any club I have been in charge of, it is an environment which is conducive to people coming in. "I think all three are young, exciting players, and when you have that enthusiasm and ability when you get a chance it is up to you to go show what you can do. "We brought them here in the belief they can make an impact - that is why they are here. Particularly with David, we spent money on a player who we think will grow and take the club on rather than paying a fee for someone who is 32 and whose value depreciates from the moment you sign them. "At every club I have been at I have looked to sign young players and invest in that value and look to bring them on, and particularly so with strikers. If David scores goals that value will soar, and I would expect it to do because of his quality."
