Yassine Chikhaoui scored a dramatic late winner to seal a 2-1 victory for Tunisia over Zambia in Africa Cup of Nations Group B.

The FC Zurich striker headed past Kennedy Mweene superbly with just two minutes of normal time remaining to claim their first victory of the tournament, following a 1-1 draw with Cape Verde in game one on Sunday.

Southampton striker Emmanuel Mayuka put Zambia ahead just before the hour, but he was swiftly withdrawn on a stretcher and taken to hospital after injuring himself in an over-zealous, acrobatic celebration.

Tunisia equalised 10 minutes later when Ahmed Akaichi tapped home from a corner and then Chikhaoui fired Tunisia to the top of their group ahead of the final group game against DR Congo on Tuesday.

Zambia, meanwhile, are bottom of group B with just the point they earned in a 1-1 draw with DR Congo and are almost certain to be without star forward Mayuka for their final fixture against Cape Verde.

The island nation were forced to settle for a goalless draw with DR Congo on Thursday after Robert Kidiaba, the tournament's oldest player at 39, made a superb double save in the 85th minute.

He first stopped a header from defender Fernando Varela on the goalline and then smothered the rebound from Gege.
