Seagulls look to replace one loan signing with another

Brighton manager Micky Adams is hopeful of securing the loan signing of Crystal Palace striker Calvin Andrew before Saturday's clash with Hartlepool. The former Leicester boss has moved fast to cover the void left by Stuart Fleetwood after the 22-year-old was recalled from his loan by Charlton. Andrew has appeared seven times for the Eagles in the Championship this season, starting only once, scoring the one goal and has enjoyed loan spells with Bristol City and Grimsby in the past. The forward, also 22, will be hoping to have a bigger impact than the man he is set to replace after Fleetwood failed to find the net during his time with the Seagulls. Brighton slipped into the bottom four in League One on Tuesday following Leyton Orient's surprise win away at MK Dons, but are just a point from safety. The Seagulls have also confirmed that striker Sam Gargan has joined Eastbourne Borough on a months loan. The 20-year-old has failed to make a single appearance for the League One strugglers this season.
