Crawley Town boss Steve Evans is not planning a move for Crystal Palace striker Calvin Andrew and has also denied making a bid for Weymouth defender Sam Poole.
Andrew has made just four appearances in the Championship for Palace this season and spent time on loan at Millwall and Swindon Town last term.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a January move to Crawley, but the League Two leaders will not be pursuing a bid for the forward.
"We had a chat with Calvin Andrew," said Evans to This is Sussex. "He's another player who wouldn't start in front of players we've got.
"Calvin is a big, raw striker, he's aggressive and strong, but he's probably not a consistent goalscorer.
"He's not someone we're looking at."
Reports have also claimed the Red Devils have offered £15,000 for Poole, but Evans has laughed off speculation he wants the Weymouth teenager.
"It's rubbish," added Evans. "Crawley Down maybe, but not Crawley Town.
"He's come across our radar, but he's not around the level we've got in Pablo Mills, Claude Davis and Kyle McFadzean and arguably John Dempster who is out on loan [at Mansfield].
"He's not ready for League Two. There are non-league players we've had chats about but we have to tell our directors how we see them fitting into our side."
