Rhodes hailed after hat-trick

Huddersfield boss Lee Clark hailed Jordan Rhodes after his hat-trick extended Huddersfield's unbeaten league run to 38 at Exeter.

The Terriers romped to a 4-0 win and found themselves two-up at the break as Alan Lee and then Rhodes capitalised on some sloppy Exeter defending. Daniel Nardiello had a goal disallowed for Exeter shortly after half-time before Rhodes volleyed in his second and Huddersfield's third and finished things off with simple header after substitute goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley had missed Danny Ward's cross. "It's been an astonishing few weeks. In the last two games for us and the two for Scotland, I think he has scored 10 goals. I have played with some exceptional strikers, but I don't think even they have a strike-rate like that," Clark said. "He has put himself under severe pressure though because I expect another 10 in the next four games! On extending the run, Clark added: "It's a fantastic achievement and all credit to the players. We have got some talented individuals, but more importantly, we have a talented group of players that are doing everything within their powers to win games and be successful and give the players something to be proud of. We have got a confident dressing room, but we don't have a complacent one."
