Narrow loss frustrates Edinburgh

Newport County boss Justin Edinburgh believes his side should have come away with at least a point after losing 1-0 at York.

Lee Minshull and Robbie Willmott both went close to putting the visitors ahead before Michael Coulson sealed the points for the hosts with a free-kick 13 minutes from time. Edinburgh admitted his frustration at his side once again falling to a slender loss and pointed to a mistake by goalkeeper Ian McLoughlin for Coulson's winner. "I thought we were worthy of getting something from the game; we've come to a tough place and a team that are on the up, but we're disappointed to have not come away with at least a draw. "In general play I thought it was a good game, we were very competitive but there have been so many times this season that we've lost by the odd goal," he said. "That becomes frustrating, because I can't fault the effort or the commitment from the lads, in fact, we passed the ball very well at times. "One mistake has cost us today, and the goalkeeper knows he should have saved the free-kick. Sometimes you can hold your hands up and say we've been beaten by a good goal, but we definitely should have got at least a draw today."
