Vitesse keeper Eloy Room says he has no fears over his future, despite the imminent return of Piet Velthuizen.

Arnhem shot-stopper not feeling threatened by Velthuizen return

Vitesse goalkeeper Eloy Room insists he has no fears over his future, despite the imminent return of former No.1 Piet Velthuizen. The 22-year-old's position as Vitesse's regular keeper could be under threat this season, with Velthuizen on the brink of arriving after leaving Primera Liga side Hercules. But Room, who is under contract in Arnhem until 2015, insists there is no guarantee the older keeper will instantly reclaim the gloves. "I'm still under contract (at Vitesse) for four years, so of course they're my focus," Room told Omroep Gelderland. "Velthuizen needs to be officially released by his former club Hercules and is therefore not yet eligible to play at Vitesse. "Nobody knows if Peter will play. Initially, I will be the first keeper. That's how I see it."
