Smith delighted to land England Under 19 international

Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Slew has joined League One Stevenage on loan until the end of the season. Slew, who moved to Rovers from Sheffield United during the summer transfer window, is well down the pecking order at Ewood Park and has made just two brief substitute appearances for the club. Rovers boss Steve Kean is happy to loan out Slew so that he can continue his development by getting some valuable first-team experience under his belt. The 19-year-old is set to go straight into the Stevenage squad for this weekend's trip to Exeter and boss Gary Smith was happy to land the highly-rated forward. "I am delighted to welcome Jordan to the side," Smith said. "He's a player that has already played at the highest level in English football, even at such a young age, and he will really add something to our attacking options."
