Port Vale have signed Jordan Slew on loan from Championship club Blackburn until January.

Vale boss Micky Adams worked with Slew during his time at Sheffield United. The striker has also turned out on loan for Stevenage, Oldham, Rotherham and Ross County. The 21-year-old is relishing the chance to prove himself and told the club's official website: "I want to have a lot of game time and score goals for the club and hopefully push them into promotion contenders." Slew will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Chesterfield.
