On-loan Shrewsbury defender Jack Grimmer has been recalled by parent club Fulham.

The 20-year-old returns to London with the Cottagers lacking in defensive cover due to injuries and suspensions. Grimmer made seven appearances for the Shrews after joining in October, one of them being a narrow 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat to Premier League side Chelsea. "Jack has been a delight to work with and is a credit to Fulham and to himself," Town manager Micky Mellon told the official club website. "He has continued to develop in his time with us and with the games he's played, returns to Fulham a better player for it. "We wish him well for the future and will continue to watch his development with interest."
