Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Northampton Town and Morecambe at Sixfields Stadium.

Northampton boss Gary Johnson still has several injury concerns ahead of the visit of Morecambe. The Londoner did not name those players nursing knocks but did reveal midfielder Kevin Thornton is nearing full fitness. "Kevin is getting there but he still needs games," said Johnson. "Some of the others are getting closer as time goes on and it will be good to have those extra three or four players available for selection." One such player may be Ashley Westwood who was a doubt in the build up to the Carling Cup game against Wolves and missed the second-round tie on Tuesday night. Johnson added: "The games are coming thick and fast at the moment and playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday can be quite straining mentally. "That's why I've given the players a couple of days off and I'm sure they will come back in on Friday fully refreshed and ready to go against Morecambe." Meanwhile Morecambe boss Jim Bentley will assess the fitness of Andy Fleming ahead of the trip to Northampton. The midfielder has been nursing an ankle complaint which has left him sidelined since the opening day of the season. Garry Hunter has recovered from a heel injury and returned in midweek against Millwall in the 2-0 defeat in the Carling Cup second round. However, Bentley is likely to stick to the side that beat Aldershot at the Globe Arena last weekend while Paul Scott remains the only long-term absentee. The Shrimps will head to Sixfields on the back of three successive league wins and Bentley has taken encouragement from their display against the Lions. He said: "There were a lot of good things to take from the game."
