Norwich boss Paul Lambert has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit of Hull City to Carrow Road.

Canaries boss set to keep faith

Norwich boss Paul Lambert has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit of Hull City. Andrew Surman (knee) and Michael Nelson (ankle) remain the only two absentees as defensive duo Stephen Smith and Zak Whitbread have returned to full training following ankle and calf injuries respectively. Both will be hoping for a place in the matchday squad. Following the 1-0 win over Preston last weekend, Lambert is likely to name the same starting XI which means skipper Grant Holt will be partnered up front by Chris Martin, leaving summer signing Simeon Jackson on the bench again. Simon Lappin is also expected to continue in midfield following his return to the starting line-up at the expense of Anthony McNamee, who dropped to the bench for the victory over North End.

    Away-day blues

Hull manager Nigel Pearson is hoping to pick his side from an unchanged squad. Pearson has slight concerns over Jimmy Bullard and Craig Fagan, who have been troubled this week by back and groin problems respectively, but remains confident they will prove their fitness. Kevin Kilbane, Richard Garcia, Nick Barmby, Will Atkinson and Mark Cullen all started on the bench in Saturday's goalless draw and offer Pearson plenty of alternatives if either Bullard or Fagan fail to make it. Long-term absentees Caleb Folan (thigh) and summer signing James Harper (foot), yet to appear this season, remain sidelined but both players have returned to light training and hope to return before the end of October. Pearson has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side look to register their first points on their travels in the Championship this season.
