Sunderland now have a few more options in terms of an attacking sense but they are not making the most of them yet
O'Shea motors down the right touchline but he over hits his delivery and it misses everyone and goes out for a goal kick
CHANCE!!! Great cross by Elmohamady from the left touchline and Wickham gets up but his header is straight at Ruddy
CHANCE!!! Bennett finishes off a flowing counter attack with a low drive that is well save d by Mignolet. The ball is parried to Martin but his cross cum shot flashes across the area.
Johnson closes down Gardner who tries to turn away on the touchline but he is stopped by a firm challenge
Larsson gives the ball away cheaply to Morison who heads for goal. But Bramble matches him stride for stride and directs him away from goal
Sunderland are trying to find a way through but Richardson out on the left flank is unable to control O'Shea's raking pass
Morison is full of running and tries to get around Bramble and to the byline but the Sunderland man gets a stiff tackle in
CHANCE!! Bennett turns O'Shea before flashing a shot just past the near post from the edge of the ball
Sunderland would have been under instructions to keep it tight but that game plan has now been ripped to shreds.
Tierney puts in a terrific delivery that Morison gets up above Wes Brown to power home a header. Great goal for Norwich.

Elmohamady lands awkwardly after going up to contest a header with Tierney and has to leave the field for treatment. But he returns and is able to continue
Bennett gets to the byline after playing a one two with Fox. His cross to the near post is met by Barnett who makes no mistake from close range.
Brown again clears the danger after Pilkington twists and turns before putting a cute delivery to the near post
Norwich show they are dangerous on the counter as Morrison tries to find Hoolahan with a cute reverse pass by Mignolet races out to clear the ball
CHANCE!! Great skill by Bendtner as he controls a pass from Sessegnon instantly and before turning and hitting a sweet volley that's well saved by Ruddy.
Bramble causes a few nerves as he allows the ball to bounce while under pressure but he is able to get the ball back to Mignolet to clear the danger.
Brown uses his experience to shield Morrison as he tries to get onto Pilkington's dangerous looking delivery.
CHANCE!! Great play by Bendtner who drifts out wide before pulling the ball back for Gardner who side foots his effort over the bar.
Bramble gets booed by the Norwich fans which is probably due to his Ipswich connections where he started his career.
Hoolahan tries to get away from Vaughan in midfield but the Sunderland man tracks him back and gets the tackle in. Stops a promising situation.
Richardson looked to be out possession but got back well to put a block in on Bennett to stop him from crossing.
Bendtner shows great skill to control the ball and bring it down but he's unable to get his shot off.
Larsson plays a super cross field ball out to Elmohamady but he is closed down by the hardworking Tierney.
Lovely Sunderland move between Elmohamady, Sessegnon and Gardner. However, Tierney manages to stay with Gardner and just gets a nick on the ball.
Mignolet's long punt up the field puts Norwich on the back foot. O'Shea shows plenty of determination to win the second balls.
Sunderland move breaks down as Richardson plays a stray pass which allows Norwich to go on the attack.
The second corner from Norwich also comes to nothing. Sunderland stand firm at the back. The Canaries are knocking on the door.
Norwich force a corner, with Mignolet flapping slightly. Sunderland fail to clear their lines, giving Morison a chance to try his luck. His shot deflects behind.
Long punt forward has Sunderland rocking. Bramble misses his clearance and Hoolahan is in. He lobs the ball goalwards, but it drops wide of the target.
CHANCE!!! First chance of the game goes to Norwich as Morrison makes space for himself and lets off a low drive that is well saved.

Seeing as so many of you are predicting that Bendtner to score, I just thought I would give you some odds for him. To score first he is 6/1 and to score at anytime he is 7/4.
Michael Lauritsen says: I think Sunderland wins tonight despite playing away. One should not underestimate how Nicklas Bendtner has affected Sunderlands offensive side. I am very sure he will score his first goal tonight. A tight game maybe - but 0-2 for Sunderland.

Phil Bardsley is banned for this game, David Meyler played 45 minutes in midweek for the reserves after a long spell out with a second serious knee injury, but this game comes too early for him.
