Matt Hamshaw is out for Notts County, while Omar Daley's injury is worse than expected for Bradford.

Hamshaw out with hamstring injury for Magpies

Notts County winger Matt Hamshaw will be missing for the visit of Bradford after picking up a hamstring injury in last weekend's 2-0 defeat at high-flying Bury. Ben Fairclough could take his place after putting in a lively display on the right wing in a behind-closed-doors game against Nottingham Forest in midweek, where he scored. Meanwhile, Richard Butcher is likely to retain his place in midfield after being handed his first start since November at Bury following injury. But Russell Hoult remains sidelined with his shoulder injury.

      Bantams news

Bradford's preparations for their trip have been overshadowed by the news that winger Omar Daley could be ruled out until Christmas. The Jamaican winger picked up a knee injury against Darlington 10 days ago and was expected to miss the rest of the season. But he is now likely to be sidelined for around 10 months after surgery revealed his injury was a lot worse than expected. Paul McLaren has picked up a calf injury in training and will also miss out. But on a more positive note, Joe Colbeck is back after three months out with a broken bone in his foot, while Chris Brandon played for the reserves this week for the first time since snapping his Achilles in September but this game comes too soon.
