Team news ahead of Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy second-round tie between Notts County and Chesterfield at Meadow Lane.

Notts County boss Martin Allen will make seven changes to his starting line-up. Jon Harley and Charlie Allen will start and the Magpies boss has revealed he will field a midfield of Hamza Bencherif, John Spicer, Ricky Ravenhill and Ishmel Demontagnac. Striker Karl Hawley will lead the line as top scorer Lee Hughes is on the substitutes' bench with a number of youth players. Defender Julian Kelly was sent off during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to MK Dons and will serve a one-match suspension as a result. Striker Ben Burgess took a heavy knock to his knee in training and will sit out while Alan Sheehan (sore metatarsal) and Stephen Hunt (ankle) have been ruled out. Chesterfield will be without left-back Nathan Smith. The defender has been called up to the Jamaica squad for the first time and will be available for their World Cup qualifier against Honduras. He will also miss the league trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. Spireites manager John Sheridan should have everyone else available for the match at Meadow Lane after Jonathan Grounds (ankle) came through Saturday's defeat to Colchester unscathed. Coach Mark Crossley insists they will field a strong side against the Magpies, telling Chesterfield's official website: "We want to go and try and win the game, so we'll be as strong as possible."
