Leo Da Silva Lopes has returned to light training following his hamstring problem, but no timescale has been placed on his return, while Gwion Edwards (ankle) is a long-term absentee.

Oldham are hoping Ousmane Fane shakes off a groin strain in time for the match. Fane came off against Leicester under-21s in the EFL Trophy on Wednesday but it is thought only to be a minor niggle.

Jack Byrne is expected to start after making his loan move from Wigan permanent on Monday while Kean Bryan is also available. Bryan has extended his loan from Manchester City. Cameron Dummigan is a doubt with a back problem but right-back Tom Hamer could retain his place after impressing in midweek.
