Plymouth v Morecambe preview

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Plymouth Argyle and Morecambe at Home Park.

Plymouth hope to have teenage striker Matt Lecointe back for the match. Lecointe was withdrawn from the matchday squad on the day of the 2-1 defeat to Cheltenham last week after failing a late fitness test on a hip problem but may make a return. The Pilgrims are also sweating on the fitness of goalkeeper Jake Cole, who was substituted after 70 minutes of the clash with the Robins following a heavy fall. Midfielder Will Atkinson is back after a one-match ban but manager Carl Fletcher has two players ruled out through suspension. Jamie Griffiths will miss what is likely to be the final game of his loan spell from Ipswich after being sent off at Whaddon Road and fellow defender Durrell Berry picked up his fifth booking of the season in the same match. Striker Warren Feeney is still struggling with a groin injury. Meanwhile, Morecambe boss Jim Bentley has three major injury concerns. Captain Will Haining and forward Jason Price both pulled up with hamstring problems in the 2-1 win over Gillingham last weekend and are rated as doubtful. Another Shrimp facing a late fitness test is defender Laurence Wilson, who was forced off the field with with a groin complaint in the same game. The weight of Haining and Price's potential absences will not be felt as keenly as Nick Fenton and Phil Jevons return from suspension, although Bentley has refused to rule out a move into the emergency loan market if his high-flying squad is depleted further. "We'll have to have a look at things and get a full picture of the injuries before we decide to bring anyone in," he told The Visitor. "We are such a tight unit that we will have to make sure that we get the right player in the right position as well if needed because we don't want to upset things."
