Team news for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern Area first-round clash between Portsmouth and Bournemouth.

Portsmouth will be without Jordan Obita for the JPT meeting with south-coast neighbours Bournemouth. Winger Obita was sent off for violent conduct during Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Oldham and starts a three-match ban. But on-loan Burnley defender Kevin Long returns to the squad after missing out against the Latics through suspension. Former Celtic defender Josh Thompson should also be involved after his deadline-day switch to Fratton Park, which was not completed in time to face Oldham. Midfielder Lee Williamson remains a doubt due to a hamstring problem and veteran defender Ashley Westwood is still on the sidelines with an ankle ligament injury. Striker Luke Rodgers could be recalled after dropping to the bench at the weekend. Harry Arter comes back into the reckoning for Bournemouth. Midfielder Arter missed the 5-3 league defeat to Sheffield United on Saturday through suspension. Veteran striker Steve Fletcher was rested for a second successive match at Bramall Lane but the 40-year-old could come back into the squad to face Pompey. Summer signing Richard Hughes made his first appearance for the club as a second-half substitute against the Blades and manager Paul Groves could use the first round tie to put more minutes into the midfielder's legs. Likewise with Josh McQuoid who made his return from a foot injury at the weekend. Charlie Sheringham (foot) and Frank Demouge (knee) are nearing a return from their respective injuries, but Wes Fogden (shoulder) is a more long-term absentee.
