PSV Eindhoven strengthened their hold on second place in Europa League Group B with a comfortable 2-0 home win over Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday night.
Adam Maher and Ola Toivonen scored the goals, both created by Luciano Narsingh, either side of half-time.
The margin of victory could have been far greater, with PSV hitting a post and the crossbar in the closing stages, but the three points were all important following their relatively slow start to the group.
The win lifted PSV on to seven points from four matches, three ahead of Chornomorets Odesa in third. Dinamo are last.
The hosts had failed to break down Dinamo in a goalless draw a fortnight ago, but started brightly this time, with Jurgen Locadia shooting wide from inside the area before they forced a succession of corners, which came to nothing.
Toivonen had an effort from the left channel tipped over the top by Oliver Zelenika.
And the visiting goalkeeper came to his side's rescue twice more in the space of a minute, first parrying Memphis Depay's shot and then pushing out a Toivonen header.
A goal was coming for the dominant Dutch, though, and it arrived in the 28th minute.
Narsingh played the ball across from the right and Maher slammed his finish high into the net.
Dinamo were offering no attacking threat whatsoever and they fell further behind in the 57th minute, Narsingh's low cross from the right this time dispatched low by Toivonen.
PSV were home and dry already and it seemed just a question of how many goals they would rack up.
Jurgen Locadia forced the over-worked Zelenika into a save with his feet with a shot from the centre of the area before Depay's curled effort came back off a post.
Maher rifled a shot against the bar in the 90th minute as PSV fittingly finished a match they had dominated from the start on the front foot.
