Full-time. The referee blows the final whistle and it's all over. A big win for Real Madrid - 5-2 on the night makes it 8-2 on aggregrate - but APOEL can leave the competition well proud of their efforts and have two goals to show for it this evening.
Ronaldo thought about the overhead kick there but pulls out. Not worth an injury at this stage perhaps!
A few moments of normality now as Real take back control of this one. It's been a casual display from the home side and understandably so at times, but we've seen some stunning goals.
Great chance now at the other end! Charalambides has a header unmarked in the area but just misses the far post with Casillas beaten. Crazy game.
Goal! Sensational finish from Di Maria! Spots the keeper off his line when running through, the Argentinian attempts an audacious lob and pulls it off perfectly. Gorgeous finish and Di Maria is back in style.
Altintop got plenty of the ball there and it was right under the nose of the official behind the goal, but the referee sticks with his decision.
Goal! Callejon scores and it's 4-1. Cutting in from the left, the youngster beats Pardo at the near post.
Goal! Guess who, it's Ronaldo. Just as APOEL were pushing hard, Kaka is hauled down by Poursaitides and the brilliant Portuguese forward curls home the free-kick from a tight angle on the left. His second of the night and his 49th goal of the season. Is No.50 on the way?
Now it's a free-kick to APOEL and the ball bobbles around the box before being cleared. The Cypriots aren't far from an equaliser on the night here - great spell for the underdogs.
Now Kaka is dispossessed and when Sergio Ramos slips Charalambides is through on goal and Casillas is forced into pushing the ball for a corner.
Simple pass misplaced by Albiol and the ball goes out of play. Not convinced by the ploy to use the centre-back in midfield.
And Manduca is substituted immediately. He has his moment and it's deserved as he's a talented player. Adorno is on to replace him.
Goal! To APOEL Nicosia! Ailton's reverse pass puts Manduca through and he slots the ball home for his fourth Champions League goal of the season.
Final substitution for Real Madrid. Raul Albiol coming on for Granero. Looks like Albiol may operate in midfield rather than his usual defensive role.
Jorge was injured in that clash with Ronaldo - he flew into team-mate Boaventura after the challenge and may have lost a tooth. Nasty.
Lovely threaded pass through by Pepe to Ronaldo in the right channel but his instep turn leaves him too much to do and the ball is cleared before he can pull the trigger.
Some scoreline predictions coming in - Niall Keller going for 4-0 while Scott Farrant and Chris Pruce fancy 5-0. Nobody tipping an APOEL goal yet...
Di Maria immediately in action but his crossfield pass is too ambitious and goes through to Pardo. Speaking of ambitious, there are signs that the visitors are prepared to take a few more risks before they bow out of the competition.
Di Maria is on for his compatriot Higuain and the forward will not get his goal. But this is an ideal time for Di Maria to ease his way back from injury.
... So good in fact that you suspect Benzema may come on and get the goal that Higuain's work has deserved. For now, the visitors are competing well but when Boaventura puts a poor ball into the box it allows the home side to break fast. That's when the Cypriot side are at their most vulnerable.
A fourth effort from Kaka on the left-edge of the box and this time he's changed the approach - aiming for the near post - but he scuffs it wide.
Altintop has switched to full-back for this half and the Cypriot side will surely be glad to see the back of Marcelo and his raids down the left. Granero has an effort here but it's straight at the keeper.
An early chance for the visitors from a free-kick near the left byline but the ball is cleared. Better start from APOEL and they'll be hoping Real aren't in the mood to fill their boots tonight.

Half-time. Routine stuff for Jose Mourinho's men. Ronaldo gets his goal and Kaka scores a cracker. APOEL were playing for pride from the outset but you sense they have a tough 45 minutes ahead even if Mourinho does choose to make changes.
That's a corner to APOEL! This will surely be their best chance... and Charalambides slips as he takes it and the ball skews out for a goal-kick. That just about sums it up for the visitors.
More great work from Ronaldo nearly opens the door for Marcelo as he gets to the byline but APOEL are defending desperately now.
Good combination work from Ronaldo and Kaka - the latter striking the foot of the far post with his right-footed effort.
It's looking like a job well done for Real Madrid. They've been thoroughly professional and it's difficult to see what more APOEL could have done.
Goal! Kaka with a fantastic strike! He had already had a sighter and this time he gets a moment's more time and executes the curled effort perfectly. Beautiful goal from the Brazilian.
Wonderful turn and lay-off by Higuain puts Altintop through on goal in the right channel but he made a real mess of it. It would be a surprise if Real don't add a second before the break.
Cracking effort from Kaka on the left-edge of the box. Seemed to have no space but fires a ball just wide of the far corner.
Sergio Ramos is off the field receiving treatment. He's been a key player this season so you wonder whether Mourinho will want to risk him if he is struggling.
A shot from the visitors. It was a poor scuffed effort from Manduca that was going well wide but it did hit Ailton and with a bit more luck could have been diverted in. Clutching at straws perhaps but you suspect these are the best chances APOEL will get tonight.
That has got the home fans involved and the Real Madrid players seem keen to fill their boots here. Granero tries his luck from distance but it's a woeful effort.
Goal! Ronaldo scores! It didn't take long for him to make up for that miss. Marcelo has looked dangerous since the kick-off and his cross was missed by Higuain only for Ronaldo to tap it home at the far post.
Sahin's cross is whipped in from the left and Ronaldo has a clear header from a central position but the ball flies over. That was a good chance.
Pinto is fouled by Sahin as the visitors attempt to break. That will buy them some time to regain their shape.
The visitors are feeling more confident now and are even guilty of overplaying - Manduca gives the ball away on the edge of his own box and APOEL are forced to concede yet another corner.
Better from APOEL. In fact, they were nearly in behind Real but Ramos was able to pull off a last-ditch tackle. That would have a real shocker for the nine-time champions.
Real seem keen to entertain but the visitors are proving a tough nut to crack. The key seems to be using the width offered by Sergio Ramos and Marcelo.
APOEL defending with the commitment we have come to expect of them. Getting numbers behind the ball and determined to give a good account of themselves here. There's a long way to go but they'll be strangely encouraged by the early stages despite not getting out of their own half.
Marcelo is being allowed to cross at his leisure at present. This time Pardo attempts an acrobatic claim but appears to fall on the ball and it nearly skews out from under him and into the net. Lucky not to be embarrassed there.
Long pass from Marcelo to Sergio Ramos advancing on the right and his volleyed cross is blocked for a corner.
Each team has a Kaka and the APOEL version seemed to think he was the Kaka of Real Madrid fame there. Dribbling the ball in his own area, he was dispossessed by his namesake and Pardo did well to stop from Ronaldo
This could be a long night for Ailton up front for APOEL. He struggles to control the first ball into him and Madrid are back on the ball.
The home side in possession again, seemingly finding Higuain's feet with ease but this time his long crossfield ball goes out of play.
Marcelo feeds Higuain and when Ronaldo crosses from the left, the Argentine's header is just wide. A sign of things to come, you would think.
Relaxed start from Real, stroking the ball around before hitting the ball long. Ronaldo stumbles in the box but he appeared to clip his own heel.
The Champions League anthem is playing and we are about to get underway. This is a huge night in the history of APOEL. For Ronaldo, it's the chance to add to his ludicrous goal tally.
Mbajah Obogeh says: "Thumbs up for The Special One. Prediction: 4 -1 (Benzema, Ronaldo, Higuain and Kaka)."
Hasan Moosa says: "I'm predicting a 7-0 thrashing to Real with Ronaldo getting seven to beat Messi's record! Then they will cruise past Bayern in the semi final before Ronaldo makes Messi cry by scoring a hat-trick in the final! You could say I'm quite an optimistic Madrid fan!"
Our friends at SkyBet have the latest odds on this one. Real Madrid are 1/14 favourites with APOEL out at 25/1. The draw is available at 11/1.
Real Madrid: Casillas, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo, Varane, Nuri Sahin, Kaká, Granero, Hamit Altýntop, Ronaldo, Higuaín. Subs: Adán, Albiol, Mesut Özil, Alonso, Callejón, Di María, Benzema.
APOEL: Pardo, Jorge, Poursaitides, Boaventura, Kaká, Charalambides, Manduca, Pinto, Morais, Marcinho, Aílton. Subs: Chiotis, Ilia, Sousa, Satsias, Adorno, Alexandrou, Solari.
The teams are in and there's not much to encourage the visitors there as Jose Mourinho has named a strong line-up. Details shortly...
If APOEL turn this tie on its head then you can safely say it would be the biggest upset in Champions League history. Could it happen? An on-field punch-up between a couple of Real Madrid players, reducing the home side to nine men would help. Short of that, it's hard to see a way back for the Cypriot side. What do you think?
