Real Zaragoza will be looking to forget their opening day woes as they travel to Rayo Vallecano.

Aguirre's men targeting Rayo redemption

Real Zaragoza will be looking to forget their opening day woes as they travel to Madrid to face Rayo Vallecano on match day two. The Blanquillos were hammered 6-0 by Real Madrid on match day one and will be looking for a swift response as they target consolidation in the Primera Division. After narrowly avoiding relegation on the final day of the 2010/11 season many are experts are expecting an equally difficult campaign this season. The drubbing at the hands of Madrid was not the ideal start and was a little out of character for Zaragoza who had the fourth best defensive record in the league last year, behind Barcelona, Real Madrid and Villarreal. A summer in administration has prevented the club from investing in the much needed reinforcements and manager, Javier Aguirre, has been left digging around the big team's 'B' sides in order to find players. Their opponents this weekend, Rayo, also find themselves in horrendous financial difficulties and while many fans would be happy for the squad to survive in the top flight come the end of the season most would just be happy for their club to survive full stop. The first week of the season proved a much needed distraction from their financial woe as they held Athletic Bilbao to a 1-1 draw at San Mames and gave their fans a glimmer of hope to cling onto into the 2011/12 campaign. Goalkeeper David Cobenas could prove the most important part of the Rayo side, and more than likely the busiest player in the squad. The former Sevilla man conceded just 38 goals last season and played a vital role as the men from Madrid were promoted from the second division. With neither side the most attractive proposition going forward and with two competent defences we could see a case of both teams cancelling each other out at the Estadio de Vallecas. Best Bet: Draw 0-0 - 7/1
