Rangers continued their excellent start to the Scottish Championship season as they made it 18 points out of 18 with a comfortable 3-0 victory over bottom club Livingston.

Lee Wallace and Martyn Waghorn were on target before the break, while Nicky Law added a third goal in the second half.

The hosts dominated both possession and chances at Ibrox and came close to opening the scoring twice inside five minutes.

First, Waghorn forced a save out of 'keeper Darren Jamieson as he attempted to locate the top left-hand corner from 12 yards.

But it was not all one-way traffic with home 'keeper Wes Foderingham having to save a header from Craig Sives in the 12th minute.

However, Rangers duly took the lead through Wallace four minutes later with a low strike from outside the box.

Barrie McKay's initial free-kick bounced back off the Livingston wall and Wallace dispatched the rebound from around 25 yards.

James Tavernier went close with a free-kick before Rangers added a second goal five minutes before the break.

McKay was involved again as he set up Waghorn, who dispatched the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the net from 14 yards.

Rangers appeared to take their foot off the accelerator during the second half although they continued to control possession.

The third goal finally arrived 10 minutes from time with Kenny Miller slipping the ball into Law whose rising shot from 10 yards flew past Jamieson.

The win earned the Glasgow giants their 10th successive win in all competitions this season, while bringing their goal tally to an impressive 38-5.
