Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Rochdale and Charlton Athletic at Spotland.
Nicky Adams is back in contention for Rochdale, but manager Steve Eyre warned the midfielder he will struggle to regain his starting berth. Adams was suspended for the 1-0 win over Scunthorpe in midweek and it was a goal from his replacement Jason Kennedy which handed Dale the three points, and their second win on the spin. Speaking to the club's official website, Eyre said: "If you hand over your shirt by getting sent off then there are players in the squad just waiting for an opportunity. It is the name of the game." Initial fears over Jean Louis Akpa Akpro, who limped out of Tuesday's win over the Iron, appear to have been allayed and he will be available for selection. Joe Thompson has returned to training following a thigh problem but Simon Hackney (abdominal) faces a further three weeks on the sidelines. Meanwhile, Charlton manager Chris Powell is set to make 11 changes for the trip to Rochdale. Powell changed his entire starting line-up as the Addicks slipped to their first defeat of the season against Preston in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night. Goalkeeper Ben Hamer will return along with defenders Rhoys Wiggins, Matt Taylor, Michael Morrison and Chris Solly. In midfield Scott Wagstaff, Dale Stephens, Danny Hollands and captain Johnnie Jackson should come back in while Bradley Wright-Phillips and Paul Hayes start up front. Powell this week signed free agent striker Yann Kermorgant but he will not be considered yet, while defender Yado Mambo, who played the second half against Preston, has joined Ebbsfleet on loan. Spanish midfielder Mikel Alonso is still recovering from an ankle injury.
