High-flying Millers looking to put Alex to the sword

Rotherham will want to maintain their momentum against Crewe, as they look to wrap up a play-off spot. The Millers may have missed out on automatic promotion, but a three-match unbeaten run bodes well heading into the end of season shake-up. The Alex have no such luxuries to look forward to, with a mid-table finish representing the height of their ambition.

Rotherham team news

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore is sweating on the fitness of midfielder Josh Walker ahead of Saturday's encounter. The 21-year-old, who is on loan from Middlesbrough, limped out of last weekend's trip to Barnet with a knee injury and is a major doubt. Should Walker be unavailable, he may be joined on the sidelines by striker Drewe Broughton who missed out against the Bees due to a chest infection. Stephen Brogan could be among the substitutes, though, after returning from an ankle injury in the reserves' final game of the season while Andy Liddell, who has not played for the first team since October, may also be in contention. Striker Tom Pope and defender Dale Tonge are nursing foot injuries that will keep them out for the rest of the season.
Crewe team news
Crewe keeper Adam Legzdins will get another chance to stake his claim for a new contract. With Steve Phillips set to undergo a shoulder operation at the start of May, Legzdins, whose current deal is set to expire in the summer, will play the remaining matches this season after returning to the first-team in last weekend's emphatic 5-1 home win over Accrington. James Bailey has missed the last three games with a shin problem and is battling to be fit once more, while forward Byron Moore could return to the squad after six weeks out with an ankle injury. On-loan centre-half Harry Worley remains a doubt after an ankle tendon problem ruled him out against Accrington.
