Rotherham v Sheff Utd preview

Image: Warrington: Back for Millers

Team news ahead of Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy second-round tie between Rotherham and Sheffield United at the Don Valley Stadium.

Rotherham goalkeeper Andy Warrington will return to the starting line-up. Millers manager Andy Scott hinted at making changes after Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Port Vale extended his side's winless run to four matches. Warrington, who played in the Carling Cup defeat to Leicester in August, will definitely start in place of first-choice Conrad Logan. Scott has no new injury or suspension problems. Michael Raynes (illness) is expected to start, but fellow defender Johnny Mullins could be rested after making his first appearance of the season on Saturday after a long-term knee injury. Midfield trio Mark Bradley, Ben Pringle and Marcus Marshall and defender Dale Tonge are all pushing for recalls to the starting line-up. Defender Richard Cresswell (ankle) and goalkeeper Jamie Annerson (knee) remain sidelined. Sheffield United skipper Nick Montgomery could return to the starting line-up. Midfielder Montgomery returned to the squad at the weekend after a six-match absence due to an ankle injury and was an unused substitute in the home defeat to Charlton. Defender Marcus Williams, on loan from Reading, has not shaken off the dead-leg that forced him to miss out on Saturday, so Lecsinel Jean-Francois should continue at left-back. Manager Danny Wilson has no new injury or suspension problems, but could be tempted to make changes following two successive league defeats. Striker Richard Cresswell and midfielder Ryan Flynn are both pushing for recalls after replacing Chris Porter and Lee Williamson respectively against Charlton. The Blades have won four of their last six meetings with South Yorkshire rivals Rotherham, who they last played in February 2005 when they won 1-0 at Bramall Lane.
