Rotherham v Shrewsbury preview

Image: Simpson: Barren away run

Rotherham could deal a fatal blow to Shrewsbury's play-off hopes in Saturday's League Two clash.

Cummins a Millers doubt; Shrews out to end barren away run

Rotherham midfielder Micky Cummins is doubtful for his side's home clash with play-off chasing Shrewsbury. Cummins was stretchered off during Monday's goalless draw at former club Port Vale after sustaining a knee injury, but although the problem is not as serious as first feared, the 30-year-old is struggling for full fitness. Danny Harrison replaced Cummins on Monday and should resume if the Irishman fails to make it, although manager Mark Robins could also call on Jason Taylor. Robins has no other new injury or suspension problems, while Stephen Brogan, Richie Barker and Mark Lynch remain long-term absentees. The Millers could deal a potentially fatal blow to Shrewsbury's play-off hopes with their 11th home league win of the season.

Full strength

Shrewsbury will be close to full strength for their crucial trip to Rotherham as they look to end their barren away record. Long-term absentees Kevin McIntyre (leg) and Mike Jackson (knee) are the only players who will miss the trip to the Don Valley Stadium. Their rehabilitation is going well but manager Paul Simpson feels the pair are not yet ready for match action, especially with the Shrews attempting to climb back into the play-off places. Town have been less than impressive on the road this season and have somewhat lost their way of late - winning one of their last 11 games. Simpson told the club's official website: "We've got to go and have a right good go at it."
