Schalke qualify for the Champions League semi-finals for the first time after they out-thought and out-played Inter from start to finish. Inter's diamond tactic was flawed from the start and despite Samuel Eto'o's best efforts to work a comeback, Schalke's defence was outstanding. Raul was again superb with a goal and an assist as Schalke now prepare for an eagerly awaited clash with Manchester United.
Raul takes a quick free-kick as Schalke pass the ball back to defence with one minute added time to be played.
Eto'o wants a penalty but the referee gives nothing after Howedes' challenge as Inter's heart has disappeared with Nagamoto easily losing possession.
Jurado is replaced by Lukas Schmitz as Schalke look to see out the rest of the tie as easily as possible.
Inter have crumbled despite Eto'o's best efforts but Matip wins the ball back and Schalke now look comfortable in possession.

Sarpei does well to defend against Maicon before Eto'o wins a header in the box but cannot direct his attempt on target.
Maicon tries an ambitious fall to earn a free-kick but the referee isn't buying the defender's claims as Metzelder clears well to stop Milito from breaking.
Schalke have responded excellently since the goal and earn their fourth corner in three minutes, with Howedes putting the ball in the net before offside is given against the defender.
