    Scunthorpe v Oldham preview

Scunthorpe pair Lee Novak and Ivan Toney could return to contention for the home game against Oldham.

Strikers Novak and Toney (groin), on loan from Newcastle, missed last week's draw at Bristol Rovers but both hope to feature in the squad. Defenders Marnick Vermijl and Jordan Clarke (both hamstring) are making good progress, but will not be involved at the weekend.

Striker Jonathon Margetts has had a major setback in his recovery from knee surgery after being forced to have a second operation.

Oldham midfielder Patrick McEleney is hoping to make his debut for the club after recovering from a thigh injury. McEleney joined the Latics from Irish side Dundalk in January, but has had to wait for his first appearance.

Defender Wilfried Moimbe is back in contention after missing the home win against MK Dons last time out due to a one-game ban. The Latics could also be boosted by the return of defender Rob Hunt, who is rated as 50/50 after being sidelined since early January with a hamstring injury, but striker Eoin Doyle remains unavailable.
