Sheffield United striker James Wilson is an injury doubt for his side's home game against QPR.
Wilson, on loan from Manchester United, was withdrawn at half-time in Friday's FA Cup defeat at Leicester and faces a late fitness test, though manager Chris Wilder is likely to restore Billy Sharp to his starting line-up.
Leon Clarke and defender Richard Stearman both return to contention after recovering from illness, as do midfielders Ryan Leonard, Ricky Holmes and Lee Evans, who were cup-tied for the Leicester game.
John Fleck completes a two-game ban and goalkeeper Simon Moore serves the final game of his three-match suspension, so Jamal Blackman will continue in goal.
QPR defenders Jack Robinson and Jake Bidwell both face late fitness tests. Robinson (shoulder) and Bidwell (toe) sustained injuries in Saturday's home win against Bolton and are doubtful.
Defender Darnell Furlong (groin) returned to the bench at the weekend, but Idrissa Sylla (calf) and Grant Hall (knee) are still unavailable. Jamie Mackie (back) and David Wheeler (ankle) remain long-term absentees.
This is the first league meeting between the sides at Bramall Lane since August 2010 - QPR won 3-0 with goals from Hogan Ephraim, Jamie Mackie and Adel Taarabt.
QPR have won their last three league matches against Sheffield United, scoring seven goals and conceding none.
Ian Holloway has only won once at Bramall Lane in his managerial career (P4 W1 D0 L3), winning 2-0 in September 2003 in the League Cup via a Martin Rowlands brace during his first spell as QPR manager.
After winning seven of their first eight home Championship games this season (L1), the Blades have won just two of the last eight (D2 L4).
