GOAL - Younes Kaboul - The goal is scrambled home as Sunderland fail to clear a corner and the ball is poked over the line by the big French defender after Piquionne's shot was parried by Fulop.
Four minutes of added time and Portsmouth win another corner, but it is scrambled away. The ball comes back and Kaboul is there but he fires over via Turner's leg.
Sunderland fans have their hearts in their mouths as Kaboul unleashes an effort at goal, but fortunately for the home side it is straight at Fulop.
Portsmouth win a corner as they look for an unlikely equaliser, but Sunderland clear - although they appear happy to sit back and take the 1-0 now.
Diop is into the action quickly and looks to win free-kick on the edge of the box and he goes down, but Mr Bennett is not amused and waves play on.
Kaboul is next to go into the book after he brought down Bent. Ben Haim and Bent also in book after clashing in the aftermath.
Good work from O'Hara as he works his way into the box and wins a corner, it is taken short and the Spurs loanee whips in the cross but Fulop takes it.
The home crowd are getting a bit frustrated with their side here as they want this game putting to bed and Steve Bruce on the sidelines looks less than happy.
Another great block from Wilson for Portsmouth as he stops Bent from getting his shot away as he was ready to pull the trigger. The corner comes in and Cana gets the header away but James claims it.

Kaboul slips and Wilson is needed to get back and help the ball back to James with Bent looking to intercept, but Pompey clear their lines.
Jones fires just wide as Kaboul mis-judges a cross and allows the T&T striker to take the ball down, but James see the shot wide.
Sunderland are back on the attack and Campbell wins the corner off Hreidarsson. Henderson will take but it is cleared. Nosworthy collects and he goes on a great run into the box, but his shot is well over.
A counter-attack from Portsmouth sees the ball come for Kanu and he tries one from the edge of the box but he fails to test Fulop.
Another Pompey free-kick as Ben Haim is brought down by Da Silva. This is much more dangerous just 25-yards out and O'Hara looks as if he will go for goal. He does but it is easy for Fulop.
Pompey free-kick 35-yards out as Henderson fouls Brown. O'Hara takes and McCartney is forced to head behind. The corner comes in and Jones heads out for another, but this time Sunderland manage to clear their lines.
Portsmouth's first attack of the second-half sees them win a corner but O'Hara's kick is easily taken by Fulop.
Another chance for Bent. More great work from Nosworthy down the right, he pulls it back for Bent but Wilson dives in to make a great block.
Before the second-half has even kicked off Hreidarsson is booked by Mr Bennett - seemingly for being late.

Lovely play from Sunderland as they play the ball across their back-line before Nosworthy attacks down the right, he finds Henderson - he plays it into for Jones and the chance then comes for Bent, but his shot is just wide and he really should have played in Henderson who made a lovely run into the box.
Reid almost sends Jones clear with a clever header, but Kaboul is again on hand to sweep up and clear.
George McCartney's determination wins a corner for the home side. Reid takes, it is cleared but only as far as Henderson - who fires high and wide.
So close for Henderson. Great play from Nosworthy down the right as exchanges passes with Bent before finding Henderson, but his shot floats just wide of the right-hand post as he looked for the top-corner.
Nice play from Pompey as Aruna Dindane finds Michael Brown, he squares the ball to Hughes, but his shot is well wide.
GOAL - Darren Bent - Great play from Jordan Henderson down the right as he skipped past WIlson with some lovely skill, he dinked a ball to the back post for Reid and he squared it for Bent to fire home from just eight yards.
Pompey look to break and O'Hara tries to find Hermann Hreidarsson down the left but the pass is poor.
A great stop from James, a long ball is flicked on by Jones, it comes for Bent and he feeds his strike-partner on the edge of the box and he gets a good shot away but the England shot-stopper is equal to it and collects it at the second attempt.
A very rare foray into the Sunderland half by Pompey, but the attack is soon snubbed out by the Black Cats defence.
Excellent challenge from Marc Wilson as he wins the ball off Jones, and he looks to have hurt his shoulder or elbow - but he looks okay.
Great chance for Bent as Reid whips a ball into the far post and the England man can only head wide from six-yards out.
Good interception in the box from Younes Kaboul as he clears ahead of Cana as Darren Bent drills the ball into the six-yard box.
