Didn't see that result at the break when Sunderland were losing but with ten men they came back to draw 1-1. Excellent game.
McClean with a chance wide and it's blocked but Rose wins Di Canio's side a free-kick in a good position.
Another chance for Sunderland. Johnson does brilliantly but Graham can't find a header. Great game now.
Di Canio almost on the pitch. He thinks his side can do it. Stoke have the ball though and it deflects out for a Stoke corner.
Oren has been in touch (@FootballMcD): "I think 2-1 Stoke I'm a Newcastle fan from tonbridge Adam to Snatch 90min Goal"
Pulis letting the referee know what he thought of that decision. He wanted a free-kick for a foul on Walters but will have to make do with a throw.
Free-kick for Sunderland. Johnson fouled by Whitehead. Johnson delivered but it's long and goes out.
Back up and running. Walters looks a little like Terry Butcher at the moment. Heavily bandaged on the head department.
Sunderland look more likely now. Di Canio was even on the pitch for a moment while there was a stoppage.
Sunderland having a go and they win a corner. O'Shea tries his luck but Whitehead is on the line to clear.
Shotton intercepts Mignolet's ball but luckily Cuellar gets back to tackle. Sunderland fans won't appreciate that!
Stoke have never won at Sunderland in the Premier League and with the extra man they are keeping the ball quite well.
Graham has a half chance straight away but it's cleared by Shotton. Larsson then has a go. Corner to Sunderland.
Free-kick to Sunderland. Last chance of the half. Larsson and Johnson standing over the ball, Johnson hits it and it goes just wide.
Adam fires it towards Jerome but his header lacks power and it goes wide. Good chance. Crouch wasn't far either.
Stoke happy to play the ball out from the back more now. Far easier with the extra man. Di Canio looks concerned on the touchline. Walters has a chance but it's blocked.
McClean on the right this time seeing plenty of the ball but his delivery doesn't beat the first man and Stoke break through Walters.
Real test of character for Sunderland now. They are trying to press through Graham this time but Stoke City have plenty of men behind the ball.
Rose looks a good bet for Sunderland going forward. He tries to get into the box buy N'Zonzi tracks him well.
Credit to McClean though he still wants the ball and when he feeds Gardner his cross is headed away. Good spell from Sunderland.
Sunderland having plenty of the ball 30 or so yards from the Stoke 'keeper but look very short of ideas thus far.
Mignolet claims the resulting ball into the box from Adam. More urgency required in front of him though.
Another Stoke corner. This time by Whitehead. Can they score again? Not this time. Mignolet claims well.
Sunderland struggling to get into a rhythm at the moment. Comfortable for Stoke who are defending well.
Disaster involving Graham again. Gardner takes a quick throw, Graham doesn't move and it trickles out for a goal kick.
McClean gets into another great position and his ball is a good one but Graham is nowhere to be seen.
Walters opens the scoring. Adam takes the corner and Walter's first attempt is stopped by a defenders head but he makes no mistake with the second powering it high past Mignolet.
Shotton does well down the right and wins his side a throw. Good work by Walters to get the attacking going. Shotton's throw is turned away though for a corner.
Corner to Sunderland. Good run by Graham who is picked out by Johnson. Johnson takes the corner but when the ball breaks to Larsson he fires over the bar.
The Sunderland managers name echoes around the ground. Begovic clears under pressure. Good start from Di Canio's men.
Gardner looks for Graham straight away through the middle and Sunderland enjoy a couple of quick throws.

Ashley has been in touch via Twitter (@FootballMcD). He says: "It's going to be a rather good game as both clubs need the points I'm going to say a draw with Sunderland to score first."
Di Canio says it has been a long week since the last game against Aston Villa but that his players are ready.
You can get involved like Niall as well. Tweet @FootballMcD with your thoughts on the game through the evening.
Niall has been in touch already. He said: "Hoping for a similar result for Sunderland as last Monday to help Wigan's customary escape"
We all know what happened last time Sunderland played a Premier League game on a Monday evening. They were hammered by Aston Villa. Should be a cracker tonight. Stoke probably need a point to secure their status as a Premier League side while Sunderland will want all three as they look to climb away from the relegation trapdoor.
You can get involved this evening too. Send a Tweet to @FootballMcD and I will try to get as many comments on as possible.
If you fancy a flutter on tonight's game why not head over to Sky Bet. They have Danny Graham at 6/1 to score first http://www.skybet.com/football/premier-league/event/15159475
