Luton will travel to Southampton for their FA Cup third round clash looking to claim another league scalp.

Pardew expected to make changes, Hatters' options restricted

Southampton and Luton Town put play-off hopes to one side for their FA Cup third round encounter at St Mary's. The Saints were hit by a ten-point penalty deduction at the start of their League One campaign, but a strong run of form sees them well-placed in the chasing pack. A recent stutter has seen two defeats come in their last three outings and Alan Pardew's side will look to get back to winning ways with the visit of Blue Square Premier side Luton. Town harbour promotion hopes of their own and Richard Money's side will be seeking another cup scalp having seen off League Two Rotherham in the last round.

    Southampton news

: Pardew is likely to make changes to his starting line-up for the visit of the non-leaguers. David Connolly is pressing for a place up front at the expense of Morgan Schneiderlin, meanwhile Kelvin Davies will battle with Bartosz Bialkowski for the goalkeeper jersey following his return from a groin injury. The Saints will be without Graeme Murty until the end of January, the defender's ankle injury meaning Dan Harding could enjoy an extended run in the team.
    Luton news
: Luton will be hindered by the absence of cup-tied striker Matthew Barnes-Homer, who is ineligible having already played for Kidderminster in the competition earlier this season. Ryan Charles has returned to Kenilworth Road following a loan spell at the Harriers, but the front man picked up a knee injury in his first training session back at the club. Mark Tyler, Liam Hatch and Lewis Emanuel are all out injured and Ashley Cain has returned to Coventry from his loan deal at the Hatters.
