Baker out for season for hosts while Pilkington returns for Terriers

Stockport County host Huddersfield on Saturday with both teams looking to sneak into the play-offs come the end of the season. The Terriers sit tenth, four points behind their eighth-placed opponents and a further six points off the top six. County will be hoping to rely on their impressive recent home form after losing just two of their last six games at Edgeley Park. The visitors meanwhile will be looking to fair batter than their last trip to the North-West when they lost 3-1 away at struggling Crewe last weekend.

      County team news

Hatters' manager Jim Gannon rejected an invitation to join Brighton on Thursday and will remain at Edgeley Park as the League One club look to remain in the hunt for a play-off place. On the pitch, Gannon has no new injury concerns ahead of the encounter as he looks to get back to winning ways following the 1-0 midweek defeat at Colchester. Defenders Michael Raynes and Johnny Mullins overcame injury to feature against the U's and they will again be in the frame this weekend. Midfielder Carl Baker looks set to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury while striker Peter Thompson will also be out for some time with a collapsed lung.
      Terriers team new
Anthony Pilkington is expected to return for Huddersfield as they travel to Stockport. The midfielder missed last week's game against Crewe through illness but is expected to return to face his former club at Edgeley Park. Forward Danny Cadamarteri, who returned to training this week following a calf injury, could also come back into contention but may have to settle for a place on the bench. Keeper Matt Glennon is sidelined after undergoing surgery this week on his injured knee, meaning Simon Eastwood will be promoted and take a place among the substitutes. Jonathan Tehoue's involvement hinges on him receiving international clearance while a knee injury has ruled out Malvin Kamara. Boss Lee Clark is still looking for his first away win in charge of Huddersfield, who currently sit 10th in League One.
