It's all over at The Liberty Stadium and it has finished how it started despite plenty of attempts from both sides.
An injury for Davies delays proceedings slightly so there might yet be one more chance for a team to win this.
Swansea look the most likely to grab a late winner at the moment but Liverpool can catch a break as they win a throw in inside Swansea's half.
Liverpool counter from the corner with speed and Suarez would have been one on one with Tremmel has Sterling not overhit his return pass. A real chance wasted there.
On the left wing, Hernandez picks out Michu superbly with a low pass, but the forward is corwded out and the corner is the best Swansea can achieve.
Sterling has a good opportunity to cross from the right but he overhits his delivery and a good move comes to an end for the visitors.
Swansea appeal for a penalty as Agger looks to have challenged unfairly with Michu in the air, but there wasn't much in it.
Nice work by Allen puts Sterling in space to put in a cross from the right wing, and Williams does well to head behind for a corner.
After an anxious wait, both players are back on their feet and are okay to continue. Shelvey and Cole both look like they will be coming on shortly.
Suarez runs at the Swansea defence before firing at goal but his shot is way off target. Gerrard's original long range pass was brilliant.
Suarez delivers the free kick from a deep right position and finds the head of Agger, but his effort has no power and Tremmel gathers.
Suarez is too quick for Chico, and the defender blatantly fouls the Liverpool forward to earn a booking.
Reina punches away the corner, but only as far as Dyer who powers at goal. Downing rushes out to deflect it behind for another corner.
Allen clears Williams' header off the line from the corner as The Liberty Stadium gets louder and louder.
Swansea are improving and have a corner as Angel's shot is deflected over following some good passing.
Swansea counter attack with pace but Hernandez's good cross is headed clear by the Liverpool defence.
Ki and Routledge exchange passes on the left wing to try and get Swansea going but the attack breaks downas they try to spread it to the right.
Liverpool are having much more of the ball at the moment, and Laudrup's tactical switch at half time hasn't seemed to have made a difference in the middle of the park so far.
Liverpool attack from the left and Suarez finds Gerrard, who, after recieving the ball back from a failed return pass, shoots at goal but it is a simple save for Tremmel in the Swansea goal.
Audrey writes: "Swans tried hard to keep on top first half but Liverpool looked much more threatening towards the halftime whistle...Second half looking pretty even so far."
Enrique wins the ball from de Guzman but is unable to find Suarez, with Swansea regaining possession.
Michu's loose pass is collected by Johnson who sprints forwards with ball and travels a good 40 yards before losing out to a Swansea defender.
Swansea are priced at 3/1 to win the match now, with Liverpool at 5/4 and draw available at 6/4. I think we are bound to see the goals we have so far lacked in the second half, and judging by what we saw before the break, Hernandez to net the next goal at 12/1 represents good value. There has been plenty of chances for both sides, with Sterling's effort which thumped the crossbar the closest we have come to a goal. Hernandez has been very lively for Swansea, while Suarez has once again been Liverpool's key player in the opening period.
It gets very scrappy on the edge of the Swansea box as Liverpool continue to threaten but the hosts do just enough to hold on until the whistle.
Suarez is getting more and more involved in proceedings but is let down by a poor touch from Enrique after easily going past de Guzman.
Suarez does brilliantly to keep possession inside the Swansea box with little support but his squared ball is collected by Tremmel.
Enrique and Gerrard link up well on the left wing before Suarez tries to run into the box, but loses control of the ball.
Hernandez beats Johnson with a superb skill, but his curling effort just goes over the bar. He has been the best player on the pitch so far, without a doubt.
Hernandez is comfortable on the ball as he prevents Allen getting close to him, but the resulting shot from Michu hits a Liverpool defender.
Liverpool think they have made it 1-0 but Enrique is marginally offside as he slides home Suarez's cross. Good decision by the assistant referee.
Sterling is incredibly unlucky as his strong effort comes back off the crossbar. Great effort from the 17 year old as Liverpool start to mount some pressure.
The Spaniard instigates a good attacking move from Liverpool, which sees Suarez's shot blocked out for a corner following Sterling's dangerous cross.
Routledge frees de Guzman up on the right wing with a great pass but the Canadian can't take advantage of the chance. He then has an opportunity to shoot as Gerrard loses the ball but strikes wide of the goal.
Agger can't find Enrique, with Angel intercepting eagerly, but the Dane recovers to clear the Swansea full back's attempted pass to Shechter.
Johnson almost opens the scoring as he bursts into the box to recieve a return pass from Enrique, but Tremmel comes out well to block for a corner. The referee sounds his whistle as Gerrard swings the delivery in for a Swansea free kick following some pushing in the area.
Swansea keep passing the ball well in an advanced position, but eventually surrender possession when de Guzman plays a poor pass forward.
Hernandez shows great skill to free himself from both Allen and Downing to create a good chance for Swansea, but Reina comes out quickly to claim Routledge's dangerous chip into the penalty area.
Brilliant chance for Liverpool as Johnson curls in a lovely cross into the six yard box but Enrique is in about five different minds as he throws himself at the ball, and ends up directing it wide with his thigh.
Liverpool threaten but Enrique waits too long before passing to Suarez and the Uruguayan ends up offside.
Sterling runs forward and has another shot at goal, but it is another weak effort and Tremmel has no trouble gathering.
Suddenly, a corner at the other end now as Reina gets down well to save Routledge's impressive strike towards the bottom left corner.
Suaraz holds the ball up before feeding Johnson for the cross from the right byline, but it is cleared behind for a corner.
The match's first shot on target comes from Sterling, but it is a tame effort following a dangerous run by Suarez.
Chico is encouraged to try a long range shot at goal by the crowd, but his powerful effort is blocked.
Hernandez tries to thread through Davies on the left side of the area but Skrtel reads the play well to slide clear comfortably.
Good work again from Hernandez forces a throw in an advanced position for Swansea on the right wing, but still no sight of goal for the hosts.
First attack comes from Liverpool with Downing's cross coming back to Enrique who has a shot from outside the box but it is blocked without panic from the Swansea defence.
Just a couple of minutes away from kick off now following the handshakes and a few quick catch-ups for the Liverpool boss.
Looking at Liverpool's line up you would be forgiven for thinking Enrique is left back Downing is on the left wing but it is the other way around. The Spaniard was particularly impressive playing in a more advanced role against Wigan last weekend, while Downing has played in defence a few times this season and looks comfortable. A good move from Rodgers?
This is a tough game to call, and both sides with fancy their chances of winning. I think that they may cancel each other out somewhat, with a draw the most likely result. I'll tip a 1-1 draw.
Lewis Mills writes: "This is a big game for liverpool today Everton and arsenal dropped points. Hopefully man city Chelsea is a draw, other players need to step up to the plate like Allen gerrard and sterling, Suarez is on fire but other players need to step up and help him out with a few goals.. Comon the reds,"
Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Allen, Henderson, Gerrard, Downing, Sterling, Suarez. Subs: Jones, Sahin, Cole, Coates, Carragher, Suso, Shelvey.
Liverpool have won just one of their last six Premier League away games, but they are even money favourites to alter that statistic today. The Swans are 5/2 to record a second win over former boss Brenadan Rodgers' men in a month, with top scorer Michu enhanced to 7/1 to open the scoring. The Reds' top marksman Luis Suarez is price-boosted to 9/2 to bag first. Visit www.skybet.com to place your bets.
Welcome to The Liberty Stadium for coverage of the first of four Premier League games this afternoon. Swansea host Liverpool, with Brendan Rodgers returning to the club he took to, and kept in the top flight. Should be an attractive game of football, no doubt about that.
