Tottenham claim another victory and their 100 per cent record in this season's Europa League means they have qualified for the next round. An impressive performance by some of Tottenham's second string will delight Andre Villas-Boas who will be happy with his side's ability to overcome a resilient Sheriff side.
The ball almost drops to Tomic after Pascenco delivers the free kick but the keeper swings helplessly as the ball goes past him.
Ricardinho continues to be a threat down the Tottenham left and he is fouled by Naughton with the keeper coming up for the dead ball.
The Tottenham fans are starting to make their way to the exits confident that the home side have done the job. And they nearly have a chance to seal it as Kane's shot rebounds off the keeper and Holtby can direct his shot goalwards.
Kaboul looks to play Walker into space down the right but he overhits his pass and the ball goes out for a Sheriff throw in.
Paulinho again finds himself in the box, this time the ball loops up after hitting a Sheriff defender and the Brazilian attempts an over-head kick but can't control it and the ball goes high over the bar.

Dembele takes the ball just on the edge of the box after Walker's throw in pick him out but his shot is deflected and goes wayward.
Lamela looks a completely different player now and the confidence is flowing through him as he gets brought down again after some great skill in the Sheriff corner.
Lamela and Eriksen are starting to create a number of chances with Lamela taking on the Sheriff defence before being brought down in the box.
Lamela again in the action and after taking up a more central position he plays the ball to Defoe in space who hits a first-time shot but it's blocked by Samardzic.
GOAL! Lamela - The ball breaks to him on the right after Eriksen tries a pass to Paulinho, but the Argentine is on hand to put the ball into the bottom corner and give Tomic no chance.
Friedel is forced into action from the resulting corner and punches the ball clear from Cadu's corner.
Eriksen hits a fantastic shot after he picks up the ball on the turn and hits a 30-yard shot which is well saved with fingertips of Tomic.
Luvannor does well under pressure from Naughton and Vertonghen and hits a shot on the turn which Friedel saves well.
Dembele leads a charge at the Sheriff defence but his attempted pass to Lamela is just behind the winger and the move breaks down.
Friedel comes off his line after a long ball played from Samardzic causes the Tottenham back line some trouble but the keeper clears the ball into the stands.
Spurs get quickly into their passing game and work their way upfield before Sigurdsson plays the ball off Metoua for a corner. Eriksen's corner however doesn't get past the first man.
Second half is underway with Tottenham getting us underway and looking to make an early break through.

Lamela takes up a position on the left flank and plays Naughton into space bu the left back has his cross easily cleared.
Defoe is looking increasingly isolated up front on his own and is looking to come deeper in search of the ball.
Walker breaks down the right after he's played in by Lamela but the right-back's cross just fails to find Sigurdsson who is unmarked in the box.
Tottenham may start to feel a little frustrated with their inability to break Sheriff's resistance so far but they are remaining patient with their build up and are well on top of the opposition.
Lamela picks out Sigurdsson who tries a reverse pass to the winger but he's unable to get in front of his marker and the ball rolls to Tomic.
Tottenham again enjoy a long spell of possession in the Sheriff half and after Defoe creates a slight opening on the turn he lets fire, but his shot is well blocked by Samardzic
Walker puts in a good cross into the box with the Sheriff defence unable to deal with the bouncing ball which then drops to Lamela whose shot is well blocked by Samardzic.
Eriksen gives away the ball cheaply well inside the Tottenham half and Richardinho is clear to have a shot but he hits his efforts just wide. Another big let off for Spurs with Sheriff building up some good pressure.
Richardinho breaks on the counter attack with the Spurs players trying to get back to defend but the Brazilian plays in Isa on the right and his shot is tipped on to the post by Friedel. A bit of a wake-up call for the home side.
Walker is put under pressure by Luvannor by the deep in the Tottenham half but he is brought down by Cadu and Spurs are able to get out of trouble.
Lamela again in the action with a great run from the wing, cutting inside but is then brought down in the box but the referee decides not to give the penalty after the Argentine appears to delay his reaction to the tackle.
Cadu concedes a free kick on Lamela after the ball goes out to a wide position but the resulting free kick by the winger is easily cleared by Metoua.
Capoue fires in a beautifully weighted pass to Lamela on the right wing with the Argentine coming inside and hitting a shot which is well blocked on the edge of the area.
Spurs enjoy a patient period of build-up play in midfield but Naughton loses his patience and tries a long-range hit which flies well wide of the goal.
Capoue tries to set Defoe off on a run but his through-ball is over hit and the ball bounces through to Tomic.
Sheriff are being contained well inside their own half at the moment and Tottenham have almost got all outfield players in their opponents half
Capoue receives the ball inside the Sheriff half from Defoe and tries a shot from distance but he's wide of the mark.
Sheriff come back with a counter attack after a decent spell of possession by Spurs with Isa trying to create something but he has the ball whipped away from him by Vertonghen.
Dembele drives at the heart of the Sheriff defence and takes the ball to just outside the penalty area before unleashing a firm left-footed shot which Tomic can only push away for a corner.
Lamela again in the action and after he fires in a misplaced pass to Eriksen he's brought down by Samardzic after collecting the rebound but the referee waves play on.
Spurs are settling into a neat passing game now and Lamela attempts to burst through the Sheriff defensive line but is intercepted by Metoua.
Luvannor tries an attacking run down the Tottenham right but despite getting past Walker the ball runs away from him and is cleared up field.
Sheriff get us underway and loft a high-ball straight into the Tottenham defence but it's cleared without any problems.
