That's it! All over, and Liverpool are through to the last 32 of the Europa League. They were comfortable for most of the second half but almost succumbed to Di Natale deep into injury time. They're through, though, along with Anzhi while Young Boys are the unfortunate side to miss out in the three-way tie on 10 points.
Chance! Di Natale flashes a shot millimetres over the bar with what will surely be the last kick of the game.
Suarez feeds Downing, whose cross is met by Sterling but also the referee's whistle for a foul on Danilo. One last chance for Udinese to launch the ball forward.
Sterling's short lay-off puts Henderson in trouble, and he gets a painful clatter from Reinthaler. Takes a bit more time out of the game for Liverpool, but Henderson doesn't look too thrilled.
The bouncing ball almost drops for first Fabbrini and then Ranegie before Liverpool smuggle it clear.
There's a chance for Liverpool to spring a quick counterattack, but they're content to be more patient.
Pasquale picks up a second booking after Sterling draws a foul with a clever turn. Not malicious from Pasquale; he was simply done by skilful play from his opponent. Udinese have to get back into the game with 10 men.
The Udinese counter breaks down, and Liverpool launch an attack of their own as Enrique's raking crossfield ball finds Suarez, but he's crowded out by two Udinese players.
The corner comes to nothing. Udinese have a couple of hobbling defenders at the moment, but their main man Antonio Di Natale is starting to warm up. Getting close to the stage where they won't be worrying about defenders.
Enrique gets his head to the free-kick, but Downing scuffs his attempted clearance and Udinese eventually win a corner.
Careless pass from Pereyra to Armero on the left sees a promising position for Udinese come to nothing.
Good run from Fabbrini, but his attempt to play a one-two with Ranegie goes awry and Liverpool break through Suarez.
Liverpool within 20 minutes of the Europa League knockout stages, but a goal for Udinese would change everything.
Pasquale hammers a half-volley goalwards from 20 yards, and Reina will be pretty relieved that it was blocked. Was going to take some saving.
Save! Allen wins the ball and feeds Downing who slips in Suarez. He cuts inside one defender, twists past another before his close-range effort spins behind off the keeper's strong right hand.
Pasquale goes into the book after raking his studs down the back of Suso's leg. Can have no complaints there.
Great save! Henderson's side-foot volley is expertly tipped over the bar by Padelli. Superb from the former Liverpool keeper, but a fine effort from Henderson.
Problems for Udinese here as the substitute Benatia pulls up with an injury. No-one else around him, and it looks like a problem with his left knee which already has plenty of strapping on it.
Great ball from Suso to set Enrique away down the inside-left channel but Fabbrini makes a smart challenge before bringing the ball away.
Free-kick for Liverpool just inside their own half as Pasquale is pulled up for a high foot on Suarez.
Ranegie gets a run on the defenders to climb highest and meet the corner but he sends his header just over Reina's bar. Keeper had it covered anyway.
Great, powerful run forward from Armero down the Udinese left, but his cross is turned behind for a corner by Skrtel.
More frustration for Liverpool as Ranegie throws himself to the ground in the centre-circle under minimal pressure from Carragher and the referee buys it and gives a free-kick.
Lovely bit of skill takes Johnson away from Armero and Pasquale, but a heavy touch sees the ball run out of play for a goal-kick.
Udinese clear the corner and win a free-kick in midfield as Skrtel is penalised for a push. Fussy, this ref.
Young Boys back in front against Anzhi. That puts Liverpool top as things stand, but leaves them more vulnerable to elimination as well. Benatia heads behind for a corner to Liverpool under pressure from Shelvey.
Liverpool certainly finding it harder to play their way out of their own half since the break. More urgency to Udinese's play.
Half-a-chance for Liverpool to break through Suarez as the corner is cleared, but he's squeezed off the ball by two Udinese players.
Fabbrini wins a corner for Udinese on the right as his cross ricochets behind off Carragher's shins.
Good cross from Downing is headed clear by Pereyra, but only as far as Suarez who will feel he should've done rather better than slashing the ball wide from the edge of the box.
Chance for Liverpool! Great run and pass from Suarez plays in Suso, but his first touch slows him down and, knowing he's being closed down, he snatches at the shot with his right foot and slices horribly wide.
Already apparent in the opening moments of the second half that Udinese are looking to press Liverpool higher up the pitch. Too easy in the first period for Liverpool to calmly bring the ball forward.
Anzhi have equalised on the stroke of half-time against Young Boys. As things stand, Anzhi finish first and Liverpool second.
The half-time whistle blows, with some rather silly handbags between Padelli and Suarez as the players make their way from the field. Good 45 minutes for Liverpool, though.
Chance! Almost a second for Liverpool as Suarez manufactures an overhead kick from close range but Padelli is able to tip the ball over the bar.
Into the final minute of a half where Liverpool have grown in stature and are full value for their lead.
Suarez shoots over from a tight angle having been fed by Suso. Shelvey and Downing both waiting in the penalty area. Wrong option from Suarez.
Faraoni lashes the ball across the Liverpool penalty area from the right, but the ball's behind Ranegie.
Carragher calmly nods the ball back to Reina as Udinese try and fail to make something of a long ball from the back.
Young Boys lead Anzhi 1-0. That's not a problem for Liverpool while they're also winning - indeed it would see them in top spot. If Young Boys win and Liverpool draw or lose, though, then the Reds are out.
Smart break from Liverpool down the left, but Padelli's handling is secure to gather as the ball is flashed across his six-yard box.
The free-kick comes to nothing as the ball eventually falls to Pereyra whose mishit shot is going wide anyway but easily gathered by Reina.
Another fussy decision from the referee, awarding Udinese a free-kick after Henderson clearly wins the ball.
Downing intercepts a loose pass and breaks forward before playing the ball out to Suarez on the left. He expertly picks out Suso, but a heavy touch lets the youngster down and he's then booked a rather frustrated foul o Pereyra as he looks to regain possession.
Shelvey looks to let Suso's pass run through for Suarez, but Danilo is wise to that idea and intercepts.
Enrique slides the ball through for Suarez, but he didn't quite hold his run and is flagged offside. Good decision from the linesman - wasn't much in it, but the right call.
Ref loves his whistle. Free-kick to Udinese midway inside the Liverpool half after Skrtel is harshly adjudged to have fouled Ranegie; just looked like he outjumped the Udinese man.
Free-kick to Liverpool in their own area as Ranegie hauls down Carragher while challenging for a high ball.
Liverpool could put this to bed right here. Utterly dominant right now. Suarez's delightful throughball plays in Shelvey, but his cutback is blocked. Given a second chance to cross, he looks to clip the ball to Suarez but it's headed clear.
Liverpool clearly boosted by that opening goal, now passing the ball around with real authority and looking to get in behind the Udinese back four.
Lovely spell of football from Liverpool ends with Downing's cross being turned home by Johnson, but the offside flag is raised.
As things stand right now (it's still goalless in Bern), Liverpool will go through in second place behind Anzhi Makhachkala.
GOAL - HENDERSON! Liverpool lead after Udinese fail to deal with the corner and Suarez's misdirected header is kept alive by Suso, who tees up Henderson to drill the ball home through a crowd of bodies.
Pinzi makes a fine tackle on Suarez, but he then fouls Shelvey as they contest the loose ball. Free-kick 30 yards from the Udinese goal for Liverpool.
Skrtel puts too much pace on a backpass, forcing Reina to take a touch before hacking clear. No harm done.
Johnson heads the corner clear. When it eventually comes back in to the area, Ranegie's header loops safely into the arms of Reina.
Reina has to be alert to tip Pereyra's cross-shot over the bar for another Udinese corner. Hosts on top at the moment.
Good chance for Udinese, Ranegie heading Armero's teasing cross wide of the target with Reina rooted to the spot.
Suso works a crossing opportunity on the right-hand side, but his ball across the six-yard box is cleared.
The free-kick is half-cleared to the substitute Shelvey, whose first contribution is to drag a 25-yard shot wide of the target.
Udinese look to break, initially through Ranegie on the left. But their approach play is ponderous, Liverpool get men back, and the danger fizzles out.
The corner is cleared before a clash between Skrtel and Ranegie leaves both players down and in need of treatment.
Chris: 'Liverpool need to win tonight, we only have this and the FA cup that we can win this season and Rodgers will need at least one to win the more skeptical fans over. I can see a 3-1 win tonight with Suarez and Henderson getting on the scoresheet.'
Latest from Sky Bet: Liverpool have been backed in to odds-on to win tonight, currently at 5/6, with Udinese drifting out to 100/30 while the draw is 5/2. Luis Suarez is a popular favourite in the first goalscorer betting at 7/2.
Nick Carpenter: 'Must win game for the reds tonight, if only for the experience and development of the younger players in particular. Very disappointed that both Downing and Henderson have been selected ahead of Assaidi and Shelvey. These two have to really raise their game and step up to the plate (how many times have we said this???). 1-3 Liverpool with Suso, Sahin and Johnson to score.'
Liverpool have put a strong side out, with Luis Suarez starting an away Europa League game for Liverpool for the first time Antonio Di Natale is on the bench for Udinese. The full Liverpool XI is: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Enrique, Henderson, Allen, Sahin, Suso, Suarez, Downing.
There are plenty of permutations to consider with this game and the other group game between Young Boys and Anzhi both crucial. Here's the situation: Anzhi are through as, even if they are caught by both Liverpool and Young Boys, the Russian side would finish second behind the Reds in a three-way head-to-head; Liverpool are currently second on head-to-head record ahead of Young Boys and will qualify with a win. A draw would also take them through provided Young Boys do not win. Liverpool would be out with a defeat, even if Young Boys lose, as YB would be top of a three-way head-to-head involving the Reds and Udinese. Young Boys will also be through if they pick up more points than Liverpool. Udinese are out. Got all that? Good, me neither. In short: Liverpool win, and they're through; lose and they're out. A draw and it gets more complicated. Liverpool could finish first in the group, or fourth.
