It proved to be tough test for Arsene Wenger's side but he will surely be delighted with another win as the Gunners prepare for the Emirates Cup next weekend.
Ramsey fires just wide of the post after some good exchanges down the left between Miyaichi, Podolski and Rosicky who teed up the Welshman.
Zelalem is caught in possession and Urawa break, but Koscienly is there to make the tackle inside the area.
Yamagishi pulls off a good save to deny Koscielny from Walcott's corner but the whistle was already blown for a fould by the French defender.
Arsenal have a real game on their hands here as Koscielny heads behind for a corner which Fabianski easily plucks from the air.
The goalscorer Abe is replaced by Toyofumi Sakano and Nobuhisha Yamada takes the place of Shinzo Koroki.
Urawa equalise with a great strike from Yuki Abe. Arsenal failed to clear their lines from the corner and Abe fired past Fabianski on the volley. 1-1.

Walcott finds himself through on goal after Rosicky plays him in but Yamagishi smothers him as he tries to round the goalkeeper.
Ryo Miyaichi, Lukas Podolski, Carl Jenkinson, Tomas Rosicky and Aaron Ramsey are all on for Arsenal in this second-half, with Giroud, Mertesacker, Arteta, Gnabry and Wilshere all making way.
Fabianski is forced to tip Ugajin's cross over his bar as it appeared to be heading in. Corner for Urawa goes straight behind for a goal-kick.
Walcott should have double the lead for Arsenal after being played in by Tomas Rosicky but he could only find the arms of Yamagishi. Good start for this second-half for Arsenal.
The substitute Lukas Podolski links up with Walcott before firing past Yamagishi. 1-0 to the visitors.

It's all square at the break in Japan despite both sides having a number of good chances to break the deadlock. Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain have both been denied by the woodwork for the Gunners, while Fabianski has thwarted the hosts from taking the lead on a number of occasions.
Ugajin finds himself in acres of space on the left, he cuts inside of Miquel before curling a goalbound strike towards the top corner but Fabianski manages to deny him with a great save, tipping it behind for a corner.
Sagna charges forward down the right but he overhits his pass looking for Giroud and it goes out for a goalkick.
Free-kick to Arsenal in a shooting position but Walcott's effort is deflected behind for a corner which then is cleared by Urawa under pressure from Koscielny.
After two saves from Yamagishi from the resulting corner, Oxlade-Chamberlain rattles the bar with a long-range effort.
Giroud's free-kick is deflected off the wall and goes behind for an Arsenal corner which Walcott takes.

Nervous moment for Fabianski as he spills the ball from under the pressure of Richardes, but the Polish goalkeeper manages to recover and clutches the ball to his chest.
There's a penalty shout for Urawa as Miquel brings down the attacker in the area, but the protests are waved away by the referee.
Giroud then goes close for Arsenal as he tries to lob Yamagishi who was off his line, but the striker's first-time effort just evades the post and goes wide.
Big chance for Arsenal! Theo Walcott surges into the area but he blazes over the bar from a good position.
Giroud does well to turn and get a cross away, but with Walcott the only man in the box, Urawa manage to deal with Arsenal's attack once again.
Arsenal are starting to command the midfield but they have been unable to turn their possession into any real chances in the last few minutes.
Wilshere is pulling the strings for Arsenal and he plays in Walcott but the England winger runs into the impressive Abe who is holding things together at the back.
Wilshere looks for the run of Giroud with a ball over the top but Abe is there again to clear Urawa's lines.
Urawa continue to show that they're not just here to make up the numbers as Tomoya Ugajin fires over from 30-yards.
There's been a good tempo to this game in the opening stages with both sides unlucky not to have opened the scoring.

Serge Gnabry almost goes through but goalkeeper Norihro Yamagishi beats him to it and collects the ball.
Chance for Urawa! A good counter attack from the home side sees Fabianski forced to palm away a low cross. It rebounds off the leg off Per Mertesacker before cannoning over the bar via Marcio Richardes.
