Full-time: Phil Dowd blows the whistle. West Brom win. Another great result for Roy Hodgson but it's disaster for Andre Villas-Boas as the pressure continues to build on the Chelsea boss.
Huge chance for Chelsea as Cole fizzes the ball across the six-yard box and Lampard is on the end of it in trademark style... but he skews the ball wide of the far post.
Still the patient build-up from Chelsea but West Brom are defending well and Cahill and David Luiz are struggling to pick a pass.
Free-kick to West Brom on the edge of the Chelsea box for a push by Malouda. It's the home side on top when you'd think Chelsea would be pushing for an equaliser.
Brunt whips in another dangerous cross and when it is put in a second time Andrews' volleyed effort is pushed wide by Cech.
Goal! Brunt's corner goes all the way to Andrews at the far post. He puts it back in and Ridgewell's right-footed shot is turned in by McAuley.
Good work from Torres before he was fouled by Andrews near to the byline. Mata's ball in cannot find Ivanovic and West Brom break with Cole conceding a corner at the other end. Good game.
Lengthy spell of possession from West Brom comes to nothing. They are enjoying more space with Essien off.
Good work from Drogba to slide in Mata but the little Spaniard is crowded out on the edge of the West Brom box.
Chelsea with a slow build-up and finally work it to Ivanovic on the byline but his cross is straight at Foster.
Bit of a lull in the game but it's entertaining stuff at the Hawthorns and could go either way. Brunt lobs a tame shot into the arms of Cech.
Lovely ball from Brunt and he bursts into the box to get the ball back from Ridgewell's centre. Cole clears just as Brunt is about to head home.
Chelsea in behind Albion on the right flank but Ivanovic cannot beat the first man with his low cross.
Fortune making a real nuisance of himself now. He wins a header and then finds himself in a yard of space on the edge of the box in a central position. His low right-footed effort is well pushed away by Cech.
When the ball comes in it's panic in the Chelsea area. Mulumbu fires in a left-footed shot that Cech palms over for another corner.
Great skill from Drogba as he flicks the ball over his marker in the left channel. He then attempts to set up Mata but Ridgewell does very well to intercept.
Chelsea struggling here. It's all on the break for the visitors and the only possession they can manage is in their own half. Villas-Boas must be thinking about making a change.
Cole makes a mess of Ridgewell's cross and Fortune is free but Cech palms his effort away. Albion dominant.
Long ball from Mulumbu nearly finds Odemwingie but good work from Cole and David Luiz snuffs out the threat. Then the Nigerian forward is through again but is expertly robbed by David Luiz once more.
Chelsea on the counter-attack straight from that free-kick and Mata threads a ball through to put Sturridge in on goal. It was reminiscent of Pele in 1970 as Foster advanced and both players appeared to dummy the ball but the keeper reacted first and cleared.
Reid raiding down the right now and although Drogba does well to track him, he's conceded a free-kick in a dangerous position. The ball comes in and bounces around the box before Chelsea clear.
Nice work from Drogba but his shot is blocked. The ball comes to Ramires and his ball to Ivanovic out wide is too strong and goes out for a throw-in.
"Hi, James here. I'm a Chelsea fan and I think AVB should take off Drogba and put on Torres. The only way Torres is going to get his confidence back is if he plays because then he might score. Later on in the half we should see Malouda because of his attacking pace and good crossing ability. I predict 2-1 chelsea with Odemwingie for West Brom and Mata and Torres (hopefully) for chelsea. Cmon u Blues!!!!"
Albion fan Terry O'Neill says: "WBA have good momentum and look certain to score. I think Chelsea will get one so it's 2-1 to the Baggies. boing boing!"
Success Chimezie, a Chelsea fan in Nigeria, says: "I believe the goals are coming in the second half - 4-0 Chelsea."
Chelsea fan Dexter says: "West Brom are looking so much more dangerous than us. Up the game second half."
Half-time: West Brom will be pleased with their efforts. An entertaining game with chances at both ends. Which way do you think this one will go? Let me know your thoughts by email over at firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet me @ghostgoal
Ridgewell was nearly through on goal there but David Luiz does well to get between the left-back and the ball as he cut it on the angle.
It's end-to-end at the Hawthorns. Sturridge had space in the area there on the break but he dragged his shot agonisingly wide.
Another dangerous ball into the box from Ridgewell is asking to be headed home but Cahill does enough to make life difficult for the Albion players six yards out.
Route one stuff from Chelsea as Sturridge wins a corner. Mata's ball in comes to Essien on the edge of the box and his looping effort is well saved by Foster.
Excellent work from Albion after Drogba loses the ball. Ridgewell's cross is blocked but it's a corner to the home side.
Cole wriggles free in the box but his cross is to the far post and there are hardly any Chelsea players in the area.
Chelsea enjoying possession now. Still trying to take the sting out of the game it seems. They finally engineer space for Ramires on the right but his cross is blocked.
Fortune thinks he's got away from Cahill and is running in on goal but referee Dowd pulls it back for a free-kick.
Reid headed Lampard's corner away and when it dropped to Cahill his fierce shot from 15 yards was blocked by Morrison.
Chelsea really need to up the pace here. It's casual stuff and they are struggling to live with Albion's high tempo approach. Chelsea have a corner now though. Set-pieces look a good option for them at the moment but this one comes to nothing.
Morrison has been heavily involved in the early stages and he now drifts inside from the right, beating Ramires, before firing a left-foot shot well over from 25 yards.
Essien head away Morrison's goalbound drive then Odemwingie shoots wide of the far post from the edge of the box. Impressive stuff from West Brom but you feel they need a goal while they are on top.
Chance for Albion. Ridgewell's cross isn't dealt with by Cahill and the ball falls to Fortune, who sends his low drive from a tight angle just wide of the near post.
Ramires feeds Drogba inside the area. His lay off finds Mata, who forces Foster into a block at his near post. Great skill by the Spaniard
Great chance for Chelsea. Olsson gifts the ball back to Sturridge on the right and Mata misses a free volley from 18 yards.
Odemwingie is playing with confidence - he's the Premier League player of the month for February after all - and he's giving Cole a torrid time. Beats him again and delivers his cross, but it is over the head of Fortune in the six-yard box.
Thomas lays the ball off from Odemwingie's pass and Morrison's shot with the outside of his foot is just tipped over by Cech at full stretch.
Foul by Lampard and that's a free-kick for the home team. Olsson heads goalwards from Morrison dead-ball and Drogba blocks and clears.
Mata's corner is headed clear by Andrews but Essien finds the taker again and Albion need McAuley to clear from Cahill at the far post.
Good start this from the home side, playing with confidence and heaping the pressure on Chelsea. Odemwingie nearly gets on the end of another chance.
Albion on the attack early and Andrews just can't stretch high enough to direct his header goalwards from Reid's right-wing cross.
Martin Butt: "Well, AVB has another chance to claim three points today, claim the fourth place and keep hold of at least for this weekend. Chelsea have a strong team out on the field today surely they cannot lose this one? If they do i fear AVB will be booking his plane ticket back home to Portugal. My prediction is 3-1 to Chelsea."
