Chelsea also making a change, their second of the night, with Oscar making way for Mikel. Mourinho looking to tighten things up in the middle of the park.
West Brom send on Vydra in place of Thievy in their final change. His first involvement sees him watch a very ambitious effort from Luiz sail harmlessly into the stands.

Another clear sight of goal for West Brom and Brunt, this time on his left foot. The ball comes a long way and bounces in front of him, but he will be disappointed to drill a volley across goal and wide of the target.

Second corner seen out, but returned to Brunt. He delivers again and Chelsea are rocking for a moment, before hacking clear.

Late call from the officials, but West Brom win a free-kick just inside their own half. Movement on the Chelsea bench, with Torres being readied for action. On the field. Hazard beats the offside trap, feeds Eto'o, who slices horribly wide from a tight angle.
Willian goes into the book. He clattered into Dawson as the West Brom defender came across to bundle the ball out for a throw. Again, not much in it but a card has been shown.
Willian down, but the decision has gone against him. He was tussling with Ridgewell. Looked 50-50, but the Baggies get the call. Free-kick is helped on by McAuley, but Cech steps off his line to dive on the loose ball.
West Brom able to force a corner off Ivanovic. Brunt's corner is swung out to McAuley on the penalty spot. He nods into the ground, wide of the target and behind for a goal kick.
Sloppy touch again from Amalfitano, he must be on borrowed time. West Brom now looking to provide more of a threat. Mulumbu's first touch sees him find Berahino, but he has to turn away from goal.
Yacob won't be able to continue. West Brom had called Mulumbu back from his warm-up anyway, but he still isn't ready to take to the field. West Brom down to 10, but only for a matter of seconds as Mulumbu is now ready to join us.
Brunt has Thievy moving off him down the right of the box. He is confronted by three defenders and is unable to power his way into a shooting position. Yacob down holding his hamstring.
Ridgewell trips Willian on halfway, after Amalfitano gave the ball away and then stood and watched Chelsea run away with it. Crossed wires between Ramies and Eto'o on the edge of the area.
Matic into Hazard, but again Morrison is breathing down his neck. West Brom can't get the ball to stick in the final third, so it keeps coming back at them.
Reid has to go back to his keeper. Foster takes a touch with Eto'o closing in and has to drill the ball out for a throw. Chelsea pressure had the hosts firmly pegged inside their own box.
Hazard crowded out in midfield. West Brom look for Amalfitano drifting inside off his flank, but Chelsea gather possession and counter. Willian allowed to carry the ball a long way before stinging the fingertips of Foster from 20 yards out.
Chelsea play their way out, with Willian popping up on the left. Hazard can then spread right to Oscar. He darts towards the by-line, forcing him too wide for a shot. He tries to cross, but the ball sits up in front of him and he slices behind for a goal kick.
Chelsea knocking the ball around inside their own half. They seem to be lacking in ideas. West Brom are sat deep, which isn't helping their cause, but it's up to them to force the issue. One goal isn't game over.
Willian cuts across the edge of the box and looks to pull the trigger, His snap shot is blocked by Ridgewell. Cahill prevents Berahino from racing away on the break. He's been very solid tonight.

Another terrible pass, with Morrison this time firing a pass out of play. No chance for Amalfitano to control the ball. He is soon on the ball though and slips through to Berahino. He feels he is blocked by Luiz, but is waved back to his feet.
Both sides sloppy in possession in the middle of the park. Amalfitano plays a simple pass intended for Thievy out for a throw. Mel on the touchline barking out instructions.
Ridgewell punts forward. Cahill clears, but only as far as Morrison. Amalfitano makes good ground down the left, and can eventually cross. Cahill there again for Chelsea.
No changes at the interval by either side. Chelsea immediately onto the front foot, with Eto'o pressuring McAuley into conceding a throw by the corner flag. Yacob can then only half clear to the edge of the box, where Oscar flashes a volley wide of the target.
Chelsea, having kept the home side waiting out on the field for a minute or so, get the second half under way.
Connor Salter says: 'Slow start to the game for Chelsea, but hopefully that goal will start to spur them on and make a better point advantage on top, well done to Ivanovic for scoring proving to be an asset for the blues.'

Snow still falling at The Hawthorns, but it isn't settling on the pitch. Proper midweek winter football weather! This is the kind of game in which Chelsea could put down a real marker - and did so regularly during Mourinho's first spell in charge.
Marco Raj, tuning in from Canada, says: 'Baggies made a huge mistake leaving Vydra and Dorrans on the beach. However, I still believe they can steal a point from this game, hopefully. We need to keep up. 2-2 Thriller!!!'
Peter Cafolla says: 'I was hoping Jose would rest a few players tonight and play his strongest side v City on Saturday, another win against them would damage their psyche.'
It's now snowing at The Hawthorns. Shouldn't really alter anything, but shows how cold it is in the Midlands tonight!
And for Kristina Yianni: 'Chelsea all the way! Hazard is a force of nature right now, I can see a comfortable 3-0, with a brace from Eden!'
Blue is the colour for Muktesh: 'The Hawthorns has always been a tough place for us but our recent form should see us through 1-2 with Hazard and Oscar, come on you blues!'

Igli Kojku is another going for a comfortable away win, saying: 'It will be a good game, but because of Chelsea's form and particularly Eden Hazard, who for me is currently one of the best in the world, Chelsea should be challenging to win every game they can. I see a 2-0 win, with Eden to grab a goal and set up Eto'o.'
Dom Lockyer says: 'Chelsea to win 3-2. Providing Eto'o steps up. Can't keep relying on Hazard. WBA will dig deep. David Luiz at CB is worrying.'
Ben Drew, a Chelsea fan, says: 'Optimistic that we can get a much needed victory to remain top. If we start quickly we should get 2-3 and as long as we start quickly this shouldn't be too difficult. 2-0, with Oscar and Eto'o bagging the goals. Enjoy the game.'

Neil Cheesman says: 'As a Chelsea fan.. the ONE thing I don't like with Jose's team rotation is that player's don't get into a run of form and don't build that extra stamina by playing regularly... I am sure Lampard would benefit from playing more often....'
Keith Murray agrees, saying: 'This again could be a tricky game for Chelsea tonight. Not seen either team lineups but the Baggies are fighting to stay up, so I think Chelsea will have to be on their guard tonight. Hope the Blues win 3-1.'

The Baggies go into the game having dropped into the relegation zone over the weekend, with a win of no win in five leaving them in trouble and still looking for their first success under new boss Pepe Mel.
