Thanks for joining me for what was a thoroughly entertaining game. The match report will be on site soon, with the assessments of both managers to follow.
Hart brilliantly saves a Lukaku overhead kick, before City break from the resulting corner, with Aguero surging forward to tee-up Dzeko, who sidefoots smartly past Foster.
Great chance for Lukaku! Ridgewell hangs up a cross from the left but after backing off Lescott, the West Brom sub heads straight at Hart.
Odemwingie has been extremely positive since coming on and he again cuts inside Nasri from the left before whacking a shot over the bar.
Richards' free-header from a corner is blocked on the line, before a West Brom counter-attack results in Lukaku narrowly failing to reach Odewingie's low driven cross. Both sides fancy a win here.
Tevez's inswinging free-kick tempts Foster from his line, but the West Brom keeper gets nowhere near before Dzeko glances the ball into the empty net.
Tevez delivers and Yaya Toure outmuscles Ridgewell at the back post but his header bounces harmlessly to Foster.
Barry makes way for Dzeko as City's search for an equaliser gets increasingly desperate. City's eighth corner is on its way...
Tevez takes City's seventh corner, but West Brom clear once more. Dzeko is stripped and ready to come on...
Odemwingie scuffs a shot towards goal but, as Hart prepared to collect, Long sneaked in behind Lescott to sidefoot home from close range.
A change for both sides: City replace Balotelli with Aguero; Odemwingie on for West Brom in place of Dorrans
City want a penalty after Fortune's handball, but Clattenburg awards only a free-kick on the edge of the box. Yaya Toure then curls a woeful effort over the bar.
GREAT CHANCE FOR CITY! Two chances actually... Nasri's free-kick from the right is headed back by Richards to Balotelli, who scuffs his shot towards Yaya Toure, who heads over from close range. Wasteful from City
Balotelli - more composed after break - wins a free-kick after a challenge from Mulumbu, but Tevez blasts his 30-yard shot high and wide.
After a frantic opeing to the second half, both sides take the opportunity to get a feel of the ball, with each team standing off the other.
Balotelli tees up Clichy, but his drive from the edge of the box is blocked bravely by Tamas. Bright start to the second period from 10-man City.
Greast save from Foster! Tevez shoots towards the top corner but the West Brom keeper springs to his right to parry the ball away for a corner, which comes to nothing.
City kick-off the second period and Balotelli, perhaps surprisingly, remains involved. No changes to either side.
Balotelli wanted to speak with ref Clattenburg as the officials left the pitch, but Hart sensibly drags his team-mate off down the tunnel. It remains to be seen whether Balotelli will re-emerge for the second half.
No goals at The Hawthorns, but plenty of action, mainly involving the referee. City are down to 10 men but West Brom have failed to capitalise.
Richards is furious with ref Clattenburg but, in truth, the City defender is lucky not to be booked for a lunge on Dorrans. A free-kick drifts wide of the goal via a City defelction. The corner drops to Morrison on the edge of the box, but the West Brom midfielder cannot get over the ball, which flies high and wide.
Balotelli is a man on the edge here. Ref Clattenburg opts to give the City striker another chance after a heavy challenge on Yacob, but only after a chat with captain Kompany. Can Mancini afford to leave Balotellim on after the break?
We see the best and worst of Balotelli in the space of a minute. First, the worst, when he went down clutching his face, despite there being no contact from Olsson in that area. The striker eventually gets up, before skinning three players in the box but Foster blocks the shot with his right foot.
Yacob shows some ambition by shooting from 30 yards, with Hart having to scamper across his goal to usher the ball wide.
Balotelli shoots, but the West Brom wall blocks again. The ball is worked out to Tevez on the right but his cut-back is scuffed by Nasri into the arms of Foster.
It's 3-2 now to West Brom on the caution count - Yacob being the latest to be booked for a foul on Tevez which also leads to a free-lick in a dangerous position..,.
Another yellow card, this time for West Brom's Tamas. That's 2-2 on yellow cards, with Milner having already seen red. Balotelli has been sent off before at The Hawthorns two seasons ago, when Mulumbu was also dismissed. We could be heading down a similar path today.
Dorrans and McAuley combine neatly on the edge of the City box before Hart belatedly races from his line to block. The City keeper got a knock as Dorrans stretched in, which he had every right to do in the circumstances.
Having drawn Milner's red and Yaya Toure's yellow card, Long now collects a caution of his own. The Irishman appeared to throw a hand at Dorrans' cross, with the booking coming perhaps for a combination of the offence and his protest.
Yaya Toure booked for a foul on Long. City down to 10 men, with Balotelli and Toure both on yellow cards before 25 minutes are up.
Kompany loses the ball on the halfway line, with Long immediately played through on goal by Morrison. Milner lunges in but doesn't get near the ball in bringing down the Baggies striker. Mancini believes Lescott would have covered, but it did not look that way to me.
Balotelli offers a rather more positive contribution for City, delivering a cross from the left which is awkwardly volleyed wide by Tevez.
Balotelli is robbed by Yacob, who is bundled to the floor as the City striker tries to win it back. Petulant from Balotelli, who goes in the book.
Barry eventually delivers, but he needn't have bothered. Long heads clear from in front of the near post. Poor corner.
Foster is a busy man. Nasri's corner is headed towards goal by Richards, but the West Brom keeper leaps to touch the ball over his bar. We wait for the next corner while referee Mark Clattenburg sorts out some pushing and shoving as players jostle for position...
Foster has to gather again after Balotelli cuts inside from the left and curls an effort towards the West Brom goal. It's easy, though, for the goalkeeper, who drops a knee to welcome the ball into his chest. Tevez wanted a pass, and let Balotelli know it.
A period of extremely neat play between Balotelli, Tevez and Richards results in a cross into the box, but Foster claims.
City have settled somewhat after a lethargic opening, but West Brom are closing the visitors down very quickly when they cross the halfway line.
Nasri shoots, but the West Brom wall jumps in unison and diverts the ball away for a corner. Richards heads Nasri's delivery towards the six-yard box, but the Baggies clear.
Yaya Toure needs treatment on a foot injury sustained wnen stopping Fortune on the West Brom right. The City midfielder limps away but looks likely to be fit to continue.
The first attempt on goal comes after 21 seconds, with West Brom's Fortune drifting forward before shooting from 25 yards. The ball drifted narrowly wide of the far post, apparantly via a slight deflection off Lescott, but a goal kick is awarded.
One final prediction, and it comes from George Bennett, who fancies a 1-1 half-time scoreline, before Sergio Aguero comes off the bench to secure a 3-2 win for City. Let's see, shall we...
The two teams emerge from the tunnel into sunshine at The Hawthorns. The pitch looks immaculate, as do City in their maroon away strip. The Baggies look just as resplendent in their traditional navy and white stripes.
The players are back in the dressing rooms to complete their preparations and get some final instructions. In their place is a dance troupe - the Albion Foundation Dancers. I'm half-expecting Mario Balotelli to come bounding down the tunnel to get involved.
Kick It Out - the anti-racism campaign group - are in the middle of a week of action, which includes Premier League players being asked to wear t-shirts during their warm-ups this weekend. Reading striker Jason Roberts indicated he would snub the gesture and, whether or not it is an intentional move, a number of the players limbering up at The Hawthorns have also chosen not to wear the shirts.
If you like the sound of the City exile in Spain's prediction, our friends at Sky Bet are offering odds of 50/1 on a 4-2 away win. Shane Long and Carlos Tevez are leading the forward lines this afternoon. You can get 8/1 on both strikers finding the net.
Gabriel Sutton has been in touch and believes West Brom's best chance of victory lies in scoring the opening goal. That said, he still believes City will triumph, 2-1. City fan Ian Ashman has also emailed in from Spain, with the prediction of plenty of goals - most of them to City, of course. 4-2 is Ian's guess.
We have sixth hosting third here at The Hawthorns, with both sides having had positive starts to the season. City boss Roberto Mancini has been full of praise for West Brom this week and expects and entertaining game: 'I should say many compliments to Steve Clarke because he has done a very good job until now. In this moment, I think West Bromwich is the team that has played the best football'. What are you expecting to see this afternoon?
The two sets of substitutes: West Brom: Luke Daniels, Popov, Rosenberg, Jara Reyes, Lukaku, Gera, Odemwingie. City: Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Dzeko, Sinclair, Kolarov, Aguero, Toure.
The West Brom XI has also been named: Foster; Tamas, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Mulumbu, Yacob, Fortune, Morrison, Dorrans; Long.
The City team shows two changes from their last Premier League outing - the 3-0 win over Sunderland. Samir Nasri replaces the injured David Silva, while captain Vincent Kompany is fit to play.
The Manchester City teamsheet is already in. They line up as follows: Hart; Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Milner, Barry; Nasri, Yaya Toure, Balotelli; Tevez.
