Watford v Sheff Utd preview

Image: O'Toole: Suspended

Watford will be without John-Joe O'Toole against Sheffield United, who are set to make a number of changes.

O'Toole ruled out; Blades to make changes

Watford will be without midfielder John-Joe O'Toole for the visit of Sheffield United, who are set to make a number of changes. The 20-year-old, who has reportedly attracted the interest of Fulham and Wolves after scoring eight times this season, will serve out a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the season. That will see manager Brendan Rodgers continue with the trio of Jack Cork, Lee Williamson and Ross Jenkins in midfield. Defender Leigh Bromby will be at Vicarage Road but in the stripes of the Blades after being allowed to return to his former club initially on loan until the end of the season, while Liam Henderson has been sent on loan to Hartlepool. Goalkeeper Mart Poom (shoulder) and Gareth Williams (knee) remain long-term absentees.

Blades team news

Blades boss Kevin Blackwell is expected to make several changes for his side's trip to Vicarage Road. But Darius Henderson is likely to retain his place up front against his former club alongside Billy Sharp. Blackwell handed a debut to full-back Kyle Walker in the midweek FA Cup win at Leyton Orient and switched Kyle Naughton into central midfield. But Naughton is expected to revert back to right-back for the clash at Vicarage Road, with Brian Howard and Danny Webber hoping for recalls. Ian Bennett should retain his place in goal with transfer-listed Paddy Kenny again on the substitutes' bench. Long-term absentees Gary Speed (back), Ugo Ehiogu (Achilles) and Derek Geary (knee) remain sidelined as the Blades look to keep their promotion challenge on track with a third successive league win.
