    Wigan v Blackpool preview

Image: Chris McCann: Misses out for Wigan through suspension

Wigan will need to make changes in midfield for the visit of Blackpool in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Francisco Junior and Chris McCann both accrued their fifth cautions of the season in the 4-0 thrashing Latics took at Bury in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Boss Gary Caldwell could look to make changes after that, and back-up goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell may make way following his terrible error for the Shakers' first, while Donald Love and Will Grigg have international commitments.

The only player unavailable to Caldwell because of injury is full-back Kevin McNaughton (knee).

Goalkeeper Colin Doyle will miss out for Blackpool.

The 30-year-old twisted his ankle in an FA Cup loss to Barnet and his first target will be to return for Saturday's league game versus Doncaster, so understudy Kyle Letheren is expected to come in at the DW Stadium.

Hayden White is still troubled by a hamstring issue, Lloyd Jones (ankle) is a long-term absentee and fellow defender Tom Aldred will serve a one-game suspension for his fifth caution of the campaign.
