Wigan will have deadline day signing Devante Cole available for the Sky Bet League One clash against Gillingham.
Defender Donervon Daniels has returned from a loan spell at Rochdale, so could be drafted back into the squad by Latics boss Paul Cook. Forward James Vaughan comes into contention again having been cup-tied against West Ham, as does midfielder Jamie Walker, signed from Hearts, after recovering from a knee problem.
Midfielder Shaun MacDonald (knee) and defender Craig Morgan (hip) remain unavailable.
Gillingham could bring Rhys Murphy straight into the squad after the striker signed following a trial. Defender Connor Ogilvie has extended his loan spell from Tottenham until the end of the season, but goalkeeper Stuart Nelson has left the club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Centre-back Alex Lacey picked up an ankle problem in last weekend's win over Fleetwood, while midfielder Scott Wagstaff (hamstring) is still not match fit. Midfielder Billy Bingham (broken ankle) continues his rehabilitation, along with long-term absentee Aaron Morris (knee).
The Latics have won their last five home league meetings with Gillingham, keeping three clean sheets in the process.
The Gills have lost just one of their last four clashes with Wigan in the Football League (W2 D1), finding the net at least once in each of those four matches.
Wigan are currently on a 10 game unbeaten run in League One (W7 D3). They haven't gone 11 league games without a loss since April 2016 (20 games) - They were promoted to the Championship a month later.
Gillingham themselves are also on an impressive unbeaten run in the league, having not lost any of their last eight games in the competition (W6 D2). They last went nine league games unbeaten in April 2013.
Will Grigg has scored a goal in back-to-back home league appearances against Gillingham; in-fact he both scored and assisted a goal in Wigan's 3-2 victory over the Gills at the DW Stadium in January 2016.
