Wigan 0 Liverpool 4. Despite a good record against the Reds, the result here was never in doubt. Too easy for Liverpool, but they were clinical when it counted.
Nick Lamorte tells it how it is: "This match sums up Liverpool FC over the last 20 years....consistently inconsistent!"
Maloney fires a curling shot from a narrow angle, but once again Reina is there to beat the ball away.
Another strong save from Reina from a Maloney header. He even has the presence of mind to punch rebound clear.
Liverpool starting to try the flicks and tricks as their fans seem in party mood! Wigan all over the place.
GOAL!!! Wigan 0 Liverpool 4. Suarez. Hat-trick for the Uruguayan. Glenn Johnson rides several challenges, plays Suarez in, who has all the time in the world to pick his spot and put the Reds four up.
Liverpool have been heavily backed in play to rout the Latics, with 5-0 being gobbled up by Sky Bet punters at 6/1 before the half-time whistle went. Impressive Reds midfielder Coutinho is enhanced to 15/2 to bag the next goal for Brendan Rodgers' men.
Matthew Hendry has been on touch via email: "Hi Pete, I'm sure you already know this but right now as this game stands liverpool have already this season scored 5 more goals than they did in the entirety of last season. I'm sure that is a good sign for the Brendan Rodgers regime! Onwards and upwards hopefully!"
Wigan 0 Liverpool 3. Suarez heads to the top of the Premier League scoring charts after his double here. Too easy for Liverpool.
SAVE!!! Al Habsi this time keeps out a Suarez strike after poor defending from Boyce let the hitman in.
SAVE!!! Di Santo heads the ball goalward from six yards, but it is tipped over by Reina. Great reflexes from the Spaniard.
GOAL!!! Wigan 0 Liverpool 3. Suarez. Bizarre third goal. Suarez free-kick is deflected off Shaun Maloney on the end of the Wigan wall, and beats Al Habsi, who will be disappointed having got two hands to it.
Wigan players arguing amongst themselves at the moment. Roberto Martinez probably will want this half to end sooner rather than later!
Wigan are having better possession, but are losing out too cheaply in attack. Liverpool much more clinical.
SAVE! Pepe Reina keeps Liverpool 2-0 up with a fine one-handed save when the ball seemed destined for the top corner.
GOAL!!! Wigan 0 Liverpool 2. Suarez. All about the assist. Coutinho carries the ball to the edge of the box, and threads a delightful pass through to the Uruguayan, who slots it past Al Habsi with ease.
Coutinho breaks into the box, pulls it back for Allen, who is on his heels and can't quite reach the pass.
Enrique gets himself into a good position, but misplaces pass. Liverpool looking comfortable on the ball.
Liverpool stroking the ball around with consumate ease at the moment. Gerrard at the heart of everything.
GOAL!!! Wigan 0 Liverpool 1. Downing. Coutinho has time and space to pick out his man, with Downing arriving on cue to head the Reds into an early lead.
Almost a blistering start from the Latics, as Kone finds space in the area after Jamie Carragher misses the header, but his touch his heavy!
Rafee Ahmed has been in touch via email: "Just have a feeling for Wigan winning today with Kone who has been sensational for them..LFC are a very average side now and anyone can beat them why not Wigan, hoping for some cracking goals from both sides...2-1 Wigan"
Wigan to win 2-1 is 12-1 and Liverpool to win 3-0 is 16/1 with Sky Bet. See the other Price Boosts here: http://www.skybet.com/football/premier-league/event/14932711
Can Wigan spring a surprise here? It's an attacking looking line-up... @Pistolpeteh86 or Pete.Hall@bskyb.com
Wigan XI: Al-Habsi, Scharner, Figueroa, Caldwell, Boyce, Beausejour, McCarthy, McArthur, Koné, Maloney, Di Santo.
Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Jose Enrique, Agger, Carragher, Lucas, Allen, Gerrard, Downing, Coutinho, Suarez
Can the Premier League's top goalscorers in 2013 maintain their impressive form in front of goal? Is their too much expectation on the shoulders of Luis Suarez?
