Who better to predict the final outcome of the World Cup this Sunday than the World Cup FanZoners?
After keeping an eagle eye on the tournament while following their adopted teams there is surely no-one better qualified...
Every talking point from the Frank Lampard 'goal' that never was, to the Luis Suarez hand of God has featured in their blogs.
So you can keep your psychic octopus, here's what is going to happen according to our 'experts'.
Darren Porter - Korea DPR
Having predicted back in May that Spain would win the tournament 3-1, I am going to stick to my earlier instincts. Spain will hopefully leave the lesser spotted Fernando Torres gathering splinters again and the effervescent David Villa will open the scoring. They will get a second after the break through Pedro, the bus driver, and then near the end the Dutch will set up the final we wanted with Wesley Sneijder grabbing a lifeline only to have their hopes of extra time dashed by a late Spanish breakaway goal by Torres who at long last decides he does want to play after all. Some people are on the pitch, they think it's all over... Spain 3-1 Holland
Brett Mendoza - Brazil
For the first time in 60 years not one of the "big four" are in the final and to me that makes a refreshing change. While the Dutch haven't done anything like as flamboyant as their "total football" predecessors, they have pretty much strolled through to the final. The Spanish haven't dazzled too much either, but have been pretty effective with their "pass to death" style since their surprise opening game defeat. Everything points towards a boring, cagey affair, but I really hope not. The World Cup final is the greatest stage of them all and deserves so much better. With my Spanish sounding surname my prediction for the final is: Gio Van Bronkhorst, Vincent Van Gogh, Anne Frank, Bryan Roy, Edam Cheese, Raymond van Barneveld, Eddie Van Halen, Richard Krajicek, Grolsch, Arjen Robben, your boys are going to take one helluva beating! 2-0 To the European Champions, Vamos Espana, Ole! Spain 2-0 Holland
Adam Sibley - Ivory Coast
I think the tournament was a really interesting one. You saw some of the big names like Italy, France, Brazil and Argentina under perform by their high standards and you had Germany who most people wrote off show the world that they are a force to be reckoned with. I don't think Spain have performed to the levels they did in the Euros but have done enough in every game to get what they needed. But I think Holland are playing with a bit more flair at the moment and that will prove the difference. Spain 1-3 Holland
Matt Gray - Japan
Incredibly these two major footballing nations have never played each other before in an international tournament. What a time for a first act and a really difficult match to predict! Spain haven't set the tournament alight as many thought they would and the Dutch have been extremely methodical, almost German-like in their progress to the final. It will certainly be close, but I fancy the Spanish to edge this one with strikes from David Villa and a single reply from Wesley Sneijder. Spain 2-1 Holland
Ali May-Khalil - France
I would love to see Holland win it then watch them argue all the way home as to who gets to hold the trophy on the plane. I can just see little Wesley now; wrestling with Boularouz by the fire exit and van Persie darting in to grab it from them before locking himself in the loo. The Oranje all the way for me as I want them to win it for all those great players that never have such as Cruyff and Bergkamp. A top football nation with great players. To have RVP as a World Cup winner would be a great basis for some new songs at the Arsenal. Hup, Hup, Hup Holland!!! Spain 1-2 Holland
Stephen Bradshaw - New Zealand
Spain have been my favourites since day one, and, apart from their first match slip-up, have been the best all round side in the tournament. Against Germany they were good in midfield, always a threat up front and excellent in defence. I think that Holland's rearguard is a bit more fragile and Spain will have more success from the many chances they create. Spain 2-0 Holland
David Garratt - South Korea
I really hope Holland win beacuse Spain are ruddy boring to watch and Holland just seem to ooze a bit more magic and passion. Plus really any team that win every match deserves to win that big piece of metal. I think it's been a poor world cup but I hope the final can live up to the spectacle it's meant to be. 3-1 Holland with a Robben brace and another Sneijder deflected fluke. I'll let Villa score a consolation because I like his little chin beard. Spain 1-3 Holland
Paul Harper - England (FanZone on tour)
I'm going with Spain, I just think they will pass the Dutch off the park. The Netherlands haven't been at their fluent best and have looked shaky at times, with Robin van Persie looking a pale reflection of the player we've seen at Arsenal. David Villa is in fantastic form and could cause the Dutch defence all sorts of problems. Spain 2-1 Holland
Shane Bailey - Uruguay
Have to say I think Spain will take some stopping now. Neither of these teams have set the tournament alight on their routes to the final, which is perhaps merely an indication of the overall quality on show. But there is definitely more to come from them, as both sides have match-winners. The Dutch did enough against Brazil to ensure everyone's favourites completely fell apart, so that's a decent feather in their cap. And the Spanish turned an up-to-then impressive German team back into the ineffective unit we all thought they would be before the tournament started - so for that they have my eternal gratitude. Historically these teams have failed to deliver when it matters most, and whilst the form of the Dutch might indicate their readiness to change that, Spain appear to be the stronger unit in my eyes. Both are impressive in the middle of the pitch, but the Spanish are better defensively, and have the only striker in form on show. I just hope when the action starts that it's the spectacle we're all craving. The tournament hasn't quite delivered enough of those for me, and in terms of potential, it doesn't get much better than Spain's Tiki-Taka against the Dutch Total Football (I know don't play it anymore, its poetic licence!) It's Spain for me by the odd goal. Spain to win
Niall Geogehegan - Mexico
It should be interesting, but I just don't think Holland quite have the necessary quality at both ends of the field to overcome the greatest footballing nation in the world at the moment. Aside from Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben, the Dutch just don't possess the world-class players that their opposition do, and it's hard to see a team boasting Andre Ooijer getting past a team of Real Madrid and Barcelona aces. Still, Holland knocked Brazil out and greater experts than me have already wrongly written them off, so let's give the Dutch the chance to prove that they are the world's best side in 2010. Spain 2-1 Holland - anyone who goes against the octopus is a brave man
Lee Norton - Denmark
I think neither Spain or Holland have played to their best ability in this tournament, yet they've both made the final. Whether that will make an interesting final or a very dull one I don't really know. Spain will try and play keep ball again but the Dutch's defence has been pretty solid so far so it may take some time for Spain to break them down (like it did against zee Germans). I don't think Holland have enough to win it and think Spain will be too strong. Spain 1-0 Holland, with Alonso getting a late winner.
Christopher Panks - Argentina
Paul, the Weymouth born octopus, who seems destined to one day become emperor of the universe, has picked Spain for the final and I can't see past them either. Though underwhelming at this tournament they seem to have hit form at the right moment, their performance against Germany was their strongest so far, and it needed to be. For the record I'll be cheering on Holland, only because Spain have been fairly boring in this tournament and it's frankly perverse that Holland have never won the world cup. Hop, Holland, Hop. Spain will win
David Guile - South Africa
Two titles up for grabs on Sunday, then. Not only will we see a new name on the World Cup, we'll also see the losers assume the mantle of Best Team Never To Win The World Cup. Both have a reputation for bottling it at the business end of this tournament and while one nation will finally slay its personal demon the other will develop a chip on its shoulder the size of Table Mountain. I think that Holland's time has finally come, with the legend that is Andre Ooijer coming off the bench to deliver the killing blow. Holland to win
Darren Williams - Portugal
So after a month of football, the 2010 FIFA World Cup final is here and it is an all-European affair between Holland and Spain. Apart from the obvious major disapointment of watching England fail so miserably, I can honestly say that this tournament as a whole has been a bit of a let down in terms of quality of football and excitement. The pre-tournament big names of England, Italy and France have all come and gone pretty early with Brazil and Argentina fairing slightly better, but still failing to get to the final. For me I will remember this World Cup for the following reasons: Fabio and England died, a controversial ball that few could control, the irritating sound of Vuvuzela's ringing aroung each and every stadium like the sound of 10 million wasps and the fact FIFA really must now look at either goal line or replay technology to avoid future ridiculous decisions that that have spoilt this tournament. As for the final itself, I hope the match is entertaining to bring me some excitement and end the tournament in style. I had predicted prior to the competition that Spain would beat Brazil 2-1 in the final. I'm still sticking with Spain to lift the World Cup and beat the Dutch by the same 2-1 scoreline. Spain 2-1 Holland
Jon Green - Algeria
It'll be refreshing for once to see two footballing sides playing against each other in a major final. I think the outcome could well depend on whether The Dutch can stop Xavi, Iniesta and Alonso dictating the game (easier said than done!) as they have done in the previous rounds. For me these three on their day are unplayable and probably the best three in the world for their position. In fact I don't think I've ever seen Xavi or Iniesta ever lose possession! Obviously Spain will have their work cut out trying to keep Sneijder and Robben quiet but I believe they will have too much quality for Holland to handle. Spain 2-0 Holland, Alonso and Villa
Charlie Johnson - Nigeria
A final between two of the great tournament underachievers certainly throws up some exciting prospects. Both teams have made it to the final without really playing their best football and hopefully they will each find top gear on Sunday. In a tournament that has thrown up a large number of shocks and been tempered by refereeing indecision, Vuvuzela noise and the flight of the Jubalani ball, it would be nice if the final can crown what has been a good but not a great tournament, especially after Nigeria crashed out. I'm going to put all my eggs in one basket and go for Spain to win 2-1 with Fernando Torres breaking his duck and scoring the winner and no doubt earning himself a big money move to the player graveyard that Manchester City will eventually become. Even if my prediction isn't correct then there will be a new winner of the Word Cup but surely now the football machine that Spain have built deserves the World Cup win to add to their European Championship. Spain 2-1 Holland
Tom Reed - England
Spain will win the World Cup with a 2-1 victory over Holland. Despite squeezing decent performances from of a less than vintage starting eleven, Bert Van Marwijk (the Dutch boss) won't be able to keep pace tacticallly with the movement and passing ability of the Spanish. Moreover, with David Villa a chorizo's breadth away from claiming the golden boot and with Fernando Torres sniffing a starting position, it will no doubt be another late night of partying for the Madrid masses. Spain 2-1 Holland
Carl Mullooly - Greece
So the World Cup Final will see a new winner of the Greatest Show on Earth. The Netherlands go into their third World Cup final against first time finalists Spain. I can see their being a few goals in this game, and I believe that Spain will edge a pulsating contest. I'm going for a 3-2 victory to Spain, with Torres netting the winner. I'm also backing David Villa to score and clinch his golden boot, with Dirk Kuyt grabbing one of the Dutch goals. Spain 3-2 Holland
Ant Meads - Chile
A European team will lift the World Cup this weekend but it's almost impossible to predict which one. The way the Spanish retain the ball is incredible although watching them try to walk it in isn't always the most exciting thing to watch. Holland seem more capable of a moment of magic that could settle things but the Spanish defence is so tight that the likes of Robben will surely find themselves with few chances to produce. I predict a very tight game with both sides more afraid to lose than to win. Spain 1-1 Holland to win on penalties
Andrew Harding - Switzerland
The Spanish in keeping the ball for long periods will stop the Dutch from playing their usual classy and clinical game. On paper these two should offer up a classic high scoring game, however I don't think they will. Spain 2-0 Holland, Villa and Iniesta
Matt Bright - Serbia
At the start of the tournament I predicted that Spain would win this World Cup, so as they have made it to the final then I am not going to change my mind. I think this could be a great final, as both teams have never played in the World Cup final before it will be extra special for both of them which in my opinion is a good omen and we could be on the verge of witnessing a cracking final. My prediction is Spain to win 2-1, with Holland taking the lead from Robben then goals from Villa and Torres (he must get one in this World Cup) to win it for the Spanish. Spain 2-1 Holland
Craig Cochrane - England (FanZone on tour)
Sunday's final promises to be a great encounter between arguably two of the tournament's better teams. It is great to see Europe hogging the limelight again and congratulations to Howard Webb for getting England to the final - shame the players couldn't have followed suit!!! My prediction is that Spain will follow on from their European Championship win two years ago and pick up their first World Cup. I think it will be 1-1 after extra time and the tournament will finally come alive with the drama of a penalty shoot-out in the final. Spain to edge it on penalties. Spain 1-1 Holland, Spain to win on penalties
