Can YOU predict the results of the World Cup games?

World Cup calling

Throughout the 2010 World Cup we'll be asking the Sky Sports experts to put their reputations on the line and tell us the outcome of the day's fixtures.

But we won't just be asking the football pundits. We'll be inviting friendly faces from across the Sky Sports family to give us their thoughts on the upcoming action.

And as ever, we want to hear from the skysports.com readers. Can YOU beat our pundits in our daily prediction challenge?

Just fill in the feedback form at the bottom of the page and let us know your thoughts.

For the semi-finals, we've pitted two heavyweights of Sky Sports against each other. In the role of pundit is Paul Merson and he will be taking on our very own cricket legend Sir Ian Botham!

Uruguay v Holland

MERSON: I think this one's going to be pretty tight. Uruguay were lucky to get past Ghana but they'll really miss Luis Suarez who's suspended for the match. He's massive for them and without him I reckon they'll probably go for a draw and penalties. But Holland look good going forward and I think they will just have too much for them. Uruguay 0-1 Holland.

BEEFY: I have to go with Holland on this one. They looked like a very decent team against Brazil and I just think they are peaking at the right time. I fancy them to score at least a couple of goals. Uruguay 0-2 Holland.

Germany v Spain

MERSON: I've got to go with Spain because of David Villa. I think Germany as a team are the best side in the tournament, but Thomas Muller is going to be a massive loss for them. He's already scored four goals and along with Bastian Schweinsteiger he's probably been their best player. Spain haven't been great but good teams win they're not playing well and in Villa they've got a player who's on fire. Germany 1-2 Spain.

BEEFY: This one is a much tougher game to call. The team spirit in the Germany dressing room will be amazing right now I'd imagine. Maybe they've surprised themselves a bit which is why they're so relaxed. Spain on the other hand haven't hit their straps at all yet and that could either be a good thing for Germany or a very dangerous thing. My head says Spain but my guts going for Germany. I think it'll end up going to penalties and well we all know about the German's record in shootouts! Germany 2-2 Spain (Germany to win on pens)
