Robben is an outstanding winger who is sure to light up the finals in South Africa this summer.
He began his footballing career with local side Groningen but his potential was soon spotted by PSV Eindhoven and they landed him in 2002.
After just a couple of years at The Philips Stadion, Chelsea utilised their co-operation with PSV by landing Robben ahead of Manchester United - who would not match the £12million fee the Blues shelled out.
Robben enjoyed a tremendous debut campaign in England and was short-listed for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, won by Wayne Rooney.
In 2007 Real Madrid made overtures for the player and he would join them on a five-year deal for a fee in excess of £20million.
The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo brought added competition, though, and two years later he was on the move again as Bayern Munich pounced.
And Robben has been in brilliant form for Bayern this season, scoring several memorable goals, especially in their run to the UEFA Champions League final.
He made six appearances during qualifying for this summer's tournament, scoring once.
